Great shoes for a casual dressy look. They are sturdy and somewhat stiff, making it a challenge to fit your foot in initially. There is a bit of cushion on the inside and the sole is relatively thick, which helps with comfort when walking on hard surfaces. Because of the make of the shoe I’d say size up about 1/2 size and especially if you have wide feet or chubby feet, and plan to wear with regular to thick socks. The shoe looks and fits amazingly! However, there is little to no support with the insoles that come with the shoe so you will have to buy insoles that will support your feet better for Long wear.

This is probably common knowledge, but you do NOT want to wear these shoes with anything but dress socks. Yes, some may think that with thicker socks, it would provide more cushion. Perhaps, but tell that to the person (me) with blood-stained heels at the end of the day, due to friction. Lesson learned! Crew socks or dress socks work best, obviously - but also keep in mind that you may have to 'break in' these shoes for them to be comfortable even with dress socks, especially around the heels. I really liked the shoe, but it was too tight. Except for the tightness this is a 5 star shoe. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9, so I expected the 9.5 to fit well, since other dress shoes 9.5 do, but these were too tight. I recommend this shoe because even though it was tight fitting they have great arch support and are comfortable on the sole. They just are tight at the time and on the sides, so get a size or size and 1/2 bigger than you normally wear. ... show more
