  • Durable, Sticky, Great Look for Cheap
Size: 30" x 120"
I think this is definitely worth the money if you're looking for an affordable update to your countertops. My countertops are laminate and were painted over with the same paint that used on the outside of our home by flippers. I've lived in my home for 5 years and my kitchen is a high use area because I cook at home most of the time (and I'm not talking ramen - like southern buffet style cooking.) The paint started peeling about a year into living here and constantly flakes off everywhere so the counters were looking pretty awful. I chose to wrap them instead of buying whole new counters because I figured anything would look better and if they did start wearing down, then I'd have saved enough money to get new countertops later. So, what was the worst that could happen? I don't have a lot of counter space and the counters I have, have rounded corners and asymmetrical countertop space on each side of the oven. So, application was a little tricky. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos, decided on this wrap because it's vinyl and waterproof which translates to me as more durable. I did purchase a smoothing kit and a staple gun to staple the wrap to the underside of the counter because, yes, this will not stick to a completely smooth surface. The contact paper is super sticky and is hard to peel back up which is exactly what I wanted. It's all about how you lay it down on the counter, if your counter is completely clean and dry before applying, and if making sure to hold it up perpendicular to the counter as you lay it and smooth to get the air bubbles out. I did use waterproof caulk at the back of my counter and around the sink to get a good seal. There were a few small wrinkles but it wasn't something I couldn't live with. I did leave a minimal amount of air bubbles before because this was my first time doing this, but they're not really noticeable. If you have rounded corners like me, they're not going to look perfect, but they're not too bad. I bought the 30" deep vinyl because I want to do whole sheet on the top without multiple cuts and it worked nicely. I try not to place hot things on the countertop and have put hot pads down under the countertop appliances that I think might hurt the contact underneath. I also wouldn't recommend leaving messes on the countertop for long periods of time because I'm sure something like spaghetti sauce would stain the material, but that would also stain my laminate too. Overall, I really like the quality, and it turned out super nice in my opinion. I've ran the coffeepot directly on top and it hasn't hurt it, although I did place a hot pad underneath it later. I've also ran a crockpot on top of a wooden cutting board on the counter too and it's still holding strong. ... show more

  • 2 1/2 years & still looks great!
Size: 30" x 200"
I am just now removing this as I am moving out of my house. It has been install installed for 2 1/2 years and gave a very realistic beautiful look to my countertop. No one could ever tell that it wasn’t real. It was super easy to apply and now that I’m removing it it’s coming off in pieces and shreds and it’s a bit hard to remove, but it’s easier with the blow dryer heating it up a bit. If I ever need temporary change of my countertop, I’ll definitely use this again. ... show more

  • Great value for the money.
Size: 30" x 120"
Little hard to work with but overall very happy with the quality. Super sticky and has lasted 2 months so far. Really made our old countertop look brand new!! Will buy again!

  • Looks really nice! Recommend having a helper to install
Size: 30" x 120"
This contact paper looks so good! My bathroom countertop was old, builder-grade laminate from the 80’s. It was scratched and yellowing and looked terrible. I gave this paper a shot and it looks 100% better! It was easy and difficult at the same time - easy because you can re-position if needed, and it laid down really smooth - the difficult part was doing it all by yourself. It could definitely use a second set of hands to help hold and stretch the paper as you smooth it down. But, I did apply it by myself and was able to get it smooth and bubble free. It took a bit of time but I was going slow and smoothing it out carefully. I recommend using a scraper that has a rubber edge. A regular plastic scraper can tear the paper if you scrape too hard. It took some trial and error to get the right angle and pressure. I did remove the sinks before application - not having to maneuver the paper around the sinks made it so much easier. I am planning to do my kitchen countertops next but will have a friend help. I did get a thick silicone mat to use under a curling iron to protect the contact paper from the heat. ... show more

  • Impossible to work with
Size: 30" x 200"
I was really excited to cover my old countertops. I consider myself to be pretty handy. It looks beautiful on the roll and I think I would love it but after destroying half of the roll from how difficult it is and it tears easily. I was going to check if there is some type of adhesive that you could use and not peel the backing off. It’s impossible to work with. Very disappointing ... show more

  • Looks real!!
Size: 12" x 120"
I bought this to co er top of an Antique French dresser that would have cost over $150 for a piece of marble . I was afraid at first but it went on smoothly and looks great!

  • I wanted to love it so bad
Size: 30" x 120"
I wanted to love this so much because the look of it is infinetly better than that of the contact paper I originally had on my counters. This one is matte and thick and looks great, especially from a distance. BUT I have already had to take it off due to the poor adhesion and massive amount of bubbles. Which is so strange because it was beautifully smooth when I first laid it down. It would stick at all to the underside of my counters so I stapled gunned it down but then had issues with the tops of my draws scraping against the staples. It is significantly thicker than the other contact paper I used which might be what you are looking for but makes it very difficult to work with if you have sinks and narrow places to go around. Again, looks amazing, and if I were using it for photo shoots etc on a flat small piece of MDF it would be perfect but sadly it didn’t work out for me. ... show more

  • 15 stars!
I had high hopes when I ordered this but medium expectations. Well color me surprised because this came out perfect! I'm painting my cabinets but didn't want to paint the shelves. My upper shelves come out which made them easy enough to wrap. There's several 90 degree angles to wrap but a hair dryer ABSOLUTELY made that easy. I aimed the dryer and carefully pressed with a putty knife and it wrapped and stuck! I also used a brayer to help smooth as I went along. I was even able to get it perfectly into the odd shaped corners of the bottom shelf thanks to the dryer, a sharp utility knife and patience. I can't wait to finish the rest of my cabinets! Update: After enjoying this so much I bought another brand and pattern for another project. It was so thin and difficult to keep the wrinkles out. This one was so much easier and forgiving. 10/10 recommend! ... show more
