  • Durable, Sticky, Great Look for Cheap
Size: 30" x 120"
I think this is definitely worth the money if you're looking for an affordable update to your countertops. My countertops are laminate and were painted over with the same paint that used on the outside of our home by flippers. I've lived in my home for 5 years and my kitchen is a high use area because I cook at home most of the time (and I'm not talking ramen - like southern buffet style cooking.) The paint started peeling about a year into living here and constantly flakes off everywhere so the counters were looking pretty awful. I chose to wrap them instead of buying whole new counters because I figured anything would look better and if they did start wearing down, then I'd have saved enough money to get new countertops later. So, what was the worst that could happen? I don't have a lot of counter space and the counters I have, have rounded corners and asymmetrical countertop space on each side of the oven. So, application was a little tricky. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos, decided on this wrap because it's vinyl and waterproof which translates to me as more durable. I did purchase a smoothing kit and a staple gun to staple the wrap to the underside of the counter because, yes, this will not stick to a completely smooth surface. The contact paper is super sticky and is hard to peel back up which is exactly what I wanted. It's all about how you lay it down on the counter, if your counter is completely clean and dry before applying, and if making sure to hold it up perpendicular to the counter as you lay it and smooth to get the air bubbles out. I did use waterproof caulk at the back of my counter and around the sink to get a good seal. There were a few small wrinkles but it wasn't something I couldn't live with. I did leave a minimal amount of air bubbles before because this was my first time doing this, but they're not really noticeable. If you have rounded corners like me, they're not going to look perfect, but they're not too bad. I bought the 30" deep vinyl because I want to do whole sheet on the top without multiple cuts and it worked nicely. I try not to place hot things on the countertop and have put hot pads down under the countertop appliances that I think might hurt the contact underneath. I also wouldn't recommend leaving messes on the countertop for long periods of time because I'm sure something like spaghetti sauce would stain the material, but that would also stain my laminate too. Overall, I really like the quality, and it turned out super nice in my opinion. I've ran the coffeepot directly on top and it hasn't hurt it, although I did place a hot pad underneath it later. I've also ran a crockpot on top of a wooden cutting board on the counter too and it's still holding strong. ... show more

  • 2 1/2 years & still looks great!
Size: 30" x 200"
I am just now removing this as I am moving out of my house. It has been install installed for 2 1/2 years and gave a very realistic beautiful look to my countertop. No one could ever tell that it wasn’t real. It was super easy to apply and now that I’m removing it it’s coming off in pieces and shreds and it’s a bit hard to remove, but it’s easier with the blow dryer heating it up a bit. If I ever need temporary change of my countertop, I’ll definitely use this again. ... show more

  • Pretty and Easy to Work With
Size: 30" x 120"
Very pretty and easy to work with. I’ve had mine on my coffee bar for the last 5 months and have loved it. Super easy to clean, doesn’t stain. Definitely recommend.

  • Impossible to work with
Size: 30" x 200"
I was really excited to cover my old countertops. I consider myself to be pretty handy. It looks beautiful on the roll and I think I would love it but after destroying half of the roll from how difficult it is and it tears easily. I was going to check if there is some type of adhesive that you could use and not peel the backing off. It’s impossible to work with. Very disappointing ... show more

  • Not beginner friendly!
Size: 30" x 200"
This stuff is not easy to use-at all! It’s also very difficult to remove. That being said, if you can get it installed it looks nice and it’s very thick and seems like it would be very durable. I just could mot get it on smooth enough. More user error than anything.

  • I wanted to love it so bad
Size: 30" x 120"
I wanted to love this so much because the look of it is infinetly better than that of the contact paper I originally had on my counters. This one is matte and thick and looks great, especially from a distance. BUT I have already had to take it off due to the poor adhesion and massive amount of bubbles. Which is so strange because it was beautifully smooth when I first laid it down. It would stick at all to the underside of my counters so I stapled gunned it down but then had issues with the tops of my draws scraping against the staples. It is significantly thicker than the other contact paper I used which might be what you are looking for but makes it very difficult to work with if you have sinks and narrow places to go around. Again, looks amazing, and if I were using it for photo shoots etc on a flat small piece of MDF it would be perfect but sadly it didn’t work out for me. ... show more

  • WORKS AS DESCRIBED - GREAT CLEAN-UP
Size: 30" x 200"
BUY THIS BUY THIS BUY THIS! Clean up of this is awesome. From cranberry juice to Ragu stains, it comes up quickly and easily and I have not had to use heavy cleaners on it at all. It wipes up nicely. Bought this and covered my kitchen laminate counter tops. Will definitely purchase again as I want to cover the bar stool table top that I have in my family room area. This is a must-buy again item. Good value for the money too. ... show more
