I've always wanted the Deck Sunblind Window Louver System but the Nuvo Iron ones are plastic and more expensive. These are coated steel in black. These are a great price. Im so excited to install them, there were just some caveats. I dont know how wide I could make the louvers so I looked at similar brands and their reviews. Looks like 3-4ft. I also thought about get 2 sets to make a door. I needed some measurements confirmed on which wood/composite to buy. Looks like a 1x6 or 3/4"x 5-1/2" will work. Since our cedar runs 5/8" here, I'm opting for redwood fencing cut in half to make either 3 or 4 ft wide louvers mounted on 4x4 posts. Its green wood so I'll have to let it dry before install to prevent warping. The install of the product itself is easy if you prep. If you dont have time, find kiln dried or composite to build it in a day. It should function well if its like the other brands. The hardware also looks well made and make sure to install pilot holes so you don't strip the screws. If it weren't for using green wood and waiting a season or 8, I'd share my final build.

The sunblind system is easy to install and provides a great alternative to outdoor curtains and proves to be more durable than curtains. It’s very useful in the hot summers because it can be closed and blocks the sun. It’s also nice in the wintertime because it helps to block the cold wind. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for an alternative to outdoor curtains.

This louver system provides a very easy way to add louvers to almost anything. I was wanting an easy way to create privacy screens for our deck and this was actually the second set of louver hardware that I tried. Although identical in every way, this set has a lower price and the same quality and look. Such a great value. They really do give you the option to adjust the shades easily while still keeping the same aesthetics in your space. It wasn’t clear what dimension of lumber was compatible, so that look a little trial and error, but the actual hardware was easy to install and operate. The brackets are acceptable quality but I gave up on the screws. Definitely plan on drilling pilot holes if you are using the included screws. Otherwise, good quality at a great value

I have used a few of these kits in the past and this one functions the same. Good quality metal components that look good. Easily installed on my deck gazebo adding shade and wind block when needed. Kit opens and shuts easily and finctions well. Overall a good value for a metal louver kit.

I gave this product 3 stars because of the long metal connector. This piece of metal is thinner than my measuring tape. The metal does not give me any confidence of the longevity of this kit. I intent to purchase a better quality metal connector for this. Maybe repurpose an old measuring tape. I have not installed because of my lack of confidence in the product.
