I bought this product to hang on my fence in my patio area, I live in a townhouse so not really much of a back area. I needed something to brighten it up. I found that these worked great & they look nice from a distance. Obviously up close you can tell it's not real, but for what I wanted it wasn't an issue. They have a bit of a chemically smell when coming out of packaging, but that cleared away not long after I hung them up. Definitely recommend if you use them indoors to leave them outside to air for an hour before bringing them in. Decent buy for a cheap price, I have no serious complaints! Update!! June 4, 2023 So I've had these for over a year now. The color has not faded in them, was worried that might be an issue since they are left to the elements on my patio. Some of the strands though have broke down. I tend to find the little ivy leaves scattered on my patio, which in itself is kind of a pain to constantly pick up. Otherwise the product has held up well & minus a few leaves here & there they still look great. ... show more

I use these as decoration on ceilings and lights and bare spots on walls around my house to give the areas some texture and color. These have been a wonderful addition. The leaves have multiple hues, shapes, and textures so it's not just a flat green leaf. Color and leaf distribution are true to the pictures. Pretty durable and easy to work with, only had maybe two leaves fall off during unpacking, organizing, and placing/replacing. The only issue is the smell when unpacking. It was absolutely horrendous. If using them indoors, I would recommend opening the vines up and spreading them out in a garage or something if you can, if not, you'll definitely want to have some ventilation when you open them and maybe some gloves (the smell stuck to my hands a bit). That being said, the smell completely dissipated within a day or so and was tolerable within an hour or two. They feel a bit expensive for just being plastic vines, but in all I bought 5 packs of these over several purchases so they're pretty good in my book and definitely recommended. ... show more

I used these vines as room decor on the rim of my ceiling. The quality is pretty good and the vines are sturdy, though the scent is not as great. The scent will eventually go away though over time.

These ivy strands smelled of strong old paint but it dissipated and Im using them outside, so its not a problem for me ...Im guessing these were sealed in the plastic wrapper too soon which caused the problem. Also they are a bit too bright a green, but may fade in the sun and look better. It looks fine at a distance in the yard. They are nice and delicate, plus easy to wrap along a swing or post for a sweet look (not wired though, but it ties to itself or you can use baggy ties) ... show more

Put this up in the spring with flower garland. We changed the flowers to Fall leaves but left the ivy. It sure made the indoors look a little more inviting on those rainy days. we have fairly lights behind the ivy and can change the colors when needed.

The reviews about the smells are over the top. I had anxiety opening it, leaning away expecting the worst. It was very anticlimactic. I had to get close to smell anything. Yes, they smelt kinda weird but unless you plan on making a pillow out of this or inhaling it on a daily basis, I’m not sure why is matters and it fades over time. I used them to hide cable wires and then started hanging them in the corners too. They are pretty, well packaged, realistic from afar and inexpensive. Don’t huff them. ... show more
