So, all my life (60+ yrs) I've always wore the cheapest (under10 bucks) house shoes. I 'splurged' on these at a bit over $40 and could not be happier with them. At about a month in I've worn them maybe a total of 50 or so hours. All the good stuff, build quality, warmth, fit, comfort, appearance, versatility, etc. etc. Yeah, check all the boxes. I don't usually leave reviews. Outstanding slippers! I struggle to find wide enough slippers, these are fabulous and not super long because I had to order so many sizes up so they are wide enough. Also I struggle to find slippers that keep my feet warm. My feet are very comfortable both in terms of fit and warmth. I highly recommend! ... show more

    • Warm, Warm and Warm!

These are a little tight in the toes, but I'm sure they will stretch out with wear. They are starting to after just a few days. Because of this tightness I've been wearing them part of the day and switching back to my old ones when the tightness starts to bother me. With my old ones on, I noticed my feet getting too cold for comfort. I switched to these Dearfoams and in 15 minutes or so my feet were nice and warm. They never got too hot, but it sure felt nice not having cold feet. Other than the toe tightness, these are comfortable to wear. I am a little bit concerned about the slit on the side that I assume is to make them easier to slip on. The concern is that as the slippers stretch out it will make "stepping out of them at the heel" as I walk more likely. It would have been better to have some elastic in the gap to keep them from becoming too loose fitting. That may not be a problem at all, depending on how much the stretch out as they're broken in. I wear a size 11 shoe on average, and ordered the large, which is listed as 11-12 on the size chart. The size seems to run true as they fit very well (other than the initial toe tightness). I do wear them with socks so that probably helps the fit since I'm and 11 and these are 11-12. They also have a removeable insole, so if that should wear out it can be replaced. Overall, these are nice slippers. The removable footbed adds some comfort and insulation, but really doesn't mold to the foot. Definitely warm, but not as warm as suede slippers with a shearling liner and full uppers (without the "V" cut into the sides). The rubber sole is good for brief forays outside in wet or snowy conditions. Feet have a weird, chemical odor after wearing these most of the day. The fit is pretty snug. I ordered a wide fit and a half size larger than usual and they're still a bit tight, though they do stretch a little with use. Good for all but extreme low temps. I like 'em, but think I'll go back to the suede, shearling combo with full ankle coverage once these bite the dust. ... show more

I ordered a pair of these slippers almost 2 years ago on a whim and I'm glad I did. I initially bought them as in house slippers but eventually I wore them outside more and more. At the time I was living in Conifer, CO, which regularly has 5+ feet of snow on the ground during the winter. Anytime I had to go outside to clear the driveway or anytime I had to go outside at all in the winter these were always my first choice. For dry western snow these shoes are surprisingly resistant to the cold and the snow seems to form an insulative barrier on them, which keeps them warm and dry. They held up really well and the only reason I needed to order another pair was because the pair I had was filled with pine needles and other random bits of wood chips to the point where I couldn't get them out. I recommend these to anyone who wants a durable and warm slipper. I love fuzzy crocs as much as the next guy but these have the advantage of not letting snow in through the back or anywhere else, really. They have a hard sole and hold up really well to being worn outside, these are a must have for anyone who wants to keep their feet warm when they have to go clear 2 feet of snow off the driveway when it's 5 degrees outside. ... show more

I really wanted to love these slippers—and at first, I did. They're genuinely comfortable, stylish, and the grip is excellent (which was a key selling point for me). However, they're essentially sweatboxes (very good at keeping in the warmth). Even though I don't typically have sweaty feet, the insulation is so effective that my feet get quite warm, and my socks stick to the soles when I take them off. They're great for quick morning wear or short periods, but for all-day lounging, the heat retention becomes a bit uncomfortable. Bottom line: If you tend to run warm or want breathable slippers for extended wear, these probably aren't for you. But if you need something cozy for brief use with great traction, they deliver. ... show more

They are nice and warm. Size runs small, I ordered 1/2 size bigger and still snug, I should have ordered full size bigger than shoe size. Well made, I would have liked the memory foam to be a little thicker, they don't feel very well padded on tile or wood floors.
