    • Grommet Holes At The Top. Vibrant. Not Quite Black-Out.

I ordered these fun curtains in the color “Funny Mushroom…,” though it was definitely a touch choice, as plenty of the options available here are super neat and would have also suited my general décor. These have large, metal grommet holes to feed the curtain rod through, so they match in that way the black, blackout curtains I already had installed that I have now centered these 2 panels in between. The current, first product image doesn’t show such grommet holes, but they are very much there, as shown in follow-up images. The colors on these curtain panels are vibrant, and the overall art is enticing. These curtains are now hanging behind the head of my bed so that the alien spaceship can beam my husband and me up at night. Like my other curtains that sandwich these, some light does come through the grommet holes at the top, and you should probably expect light to peek through the sides too, unless like me, you use magnets to keep your curtains secured against the walls. And while these do otherwise keep out lots of light, they let in more light than the blackout curtains beside them, which does make for a neat, stained-glass-like effect with the setup I have, so I’m not necessarily complaining. These are darkening curtains, with a lovely pattern to look at (the cherry blossoms). I wouldn't call them blackout because of the large grommet type of hanging style. They do, however, work well to block a majority of light on the area I need darkened in the daytime. I use them in my open door to block the cold in the winter -- in that use they are not covering a light source they are acting as a barrier to the cold coming in from the other room. How cool to have barn doors in my house! I wanted to hang some curtains in my narrow front hallway to block the view of the rest of the house when visitors enter the front door (my wife loves privacy). These are boring enough to not attract attention when slid off to the side for the majority of the time, but when in use are cool enough to look nice and fun, rather than having just a boring solid color. They are softer than expected and seem good quality to block light, though my purpose is only to block view. These work great on an easy to install tension shower rod that I easily put in place between the two walls. Now my wife keeps joking that I left my barn doors open... ... show more

These curtains are thicker than usual and really block out the the neighbors' security light; they also block about 60% of daylight, so they'd be great for day sleepers. The picture is printed clearly and very vividly, so they look more like a tapestry than curtains; very beautiful. The instructions said hand wash, but if your washer has that setting, it works fine; just hang to dry. I love these curtains! ... show more

I wanted to change up the décor in my guest bedroom. It made a lot of difference just changing the curtains. The cherry blossoms are a pretty design and they do make the room very dark when closed. I like these curtains.
