I purchased this protective strip for my new Mazda CX-5 and had great anxiety about doing the installation myself (I am 75!). I was concerned that anything with tacky tape is hard to work with and that I would mess it up. I am being totally honest with you when I share that I had such concern that it sat in my garage in the packaging almost until the time where the return time was running out and no one was around to help me: it was either do it now or I needed to return it. After taking the strip out of the package and checking that it would fit and then assessing that I thought it would work, I "bit the bullet" and took the tape off of the back of the rubber. I started at one end and just slowly pressed the rubber strip to the area of the back of my tailgate area that needed to be protected. I did not want the tailgate to get scratched when I would put things in the tailgate of the car and I wanted a "non-slip" entry for my dog, as well. I now have both. It was easy to do and my angst was unnecessary! It was quite easy to apply and took me less than 5 minutes. I got it on correctly in the first attempt. Groceries can go in and out with ease and my dog can, too!

I knew not to go the cheap route for a quality bumper guard on my 2016 CX-5, and this one is perfect! Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Installation was easy and I had it done in about 10 minutes if you count cleaning before and removing the tape before placing it. I highly recommend this product!

Got this bumper protector for my 2021 Volvo CX60. It DOES allow the automatic lift gate to close properly!!! This cover has a lip that extends down the front side of the bumper. It is about 1 to 1 1/2" short covering the entire bumper, from front to back. I realized that is to allow clearance for the hatch to shut. With the hatch closed, the bumper is covered. My only concern is that the cover leaves about 2" of bumper exposed on either end. It is not exactly long enough, but there might be a reason for that... It is great for helping my dogs get into the back of the car without scratching the bumper.

I purchased this for our 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan SE to offer better protection against my sons baseball bag and our luggage than the factory-installed clear film provided. The fit is decent. I don’t like the gap between the protector and the lip of the trunk, as well as the gap between the protector and the edge of the lift gate when it is closed. In addition, the passenger side of the protector does not appear to have been cut correctly so there is a larger gap on that side than the driver side. It was a little bit of a pain to install. There is an arrow on the protector to center and align with the lift gate latch. Don’t press down too hard on the tape. I lightly put it down and had to remove it a few times to realign it. The last time I tried to remove it, the foam tape started ripping from the protector. It was only a hair off so I stopped and left it. As someone mentioned in another review it’s made of foam, so we’ll see how well it holds up in the sun and heat.
