I initially had reservations about the price of the toy, considering it to be high for a small toy. However, upon receiving and inspecting the toy, my perception changed. I now believe that the price is justified because of the toy's quality and material composition. The toy is made of a non-toxic material called Bioplastic, which is different from traditional plastics made from oil and other harmful substances. Instead, Bioplastic is made from sugarcane. This is a significant factor for me, as I prioritize the safety and non-toxicity of toys when purchasing them for toddlers. Dantoy, the manufacturer of the toy, has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality Bioplastic toys. Dantoy has been in the industry for over 50 years in Denmark. The versatility of the toy is another positive aspect. The toy is suitable for both indoor and outdoor play, indicating its durability and adaptability to different environments. This versatility adds value to the toy and enhances its appeal as a gift for any toddler. In summary, my initial concern about the price of the toy was alleviated after receiving it. The non-toxic nature of the Bioplastic material, coupled with Dantoy's long-standing reputation for quality, convinced me that the toy was worth the price. The toy's suitability for indoor and outdoor play further solidified its value as a great gift option for toddlers. ... show more

    • Love These Toys!
Review Image by Beauty Expert
I had never heard of this company before and I am so happy to have discovered them! We love European toys and have a lot of Haba, Hape, Schleich, etc.. We also love Green Toys so these have been a natural fit for our family. The quality is outstanding and the packaging and toys are absolutely adorable and giftable. The price is a tad high but I would happily pay it to support more eco-friendly non-china made toys. These are made in Denmark and I feel really good about that. Fewer, better things over cheaper, lower quality items is the way to go. Danish toys like Maileg, and LEGO are awesome but few are actually made in Denmark anymore so the fact that these are is quite cool. This set in particular is really adorable. It comes with play carrots and pots as well as watering can and garden tools. It can be used for imaginative play and counting or transition into being used for actual gardening as well. I love that it can grow with the child. ... show more

    • Great new product from Denmark
These toys are pretty similar to Green Toys which also makes use of recycled materials. Colors are more muted, more Scandinavian vs Green Toys which is more vibrant. Price wise, these toys are priced slightly higher than Green Toys because they are made in Denmark. I’ve a similar set made by Green Toys. Quality wise, they are comparable. But I think these Dantoy edge out because it is more encompassing. They supply the carrots and pot to engage the child more about gardening. It would take weeks for a seedling to sprout and kids might not have the patience for it. ... show more

    • what lovely colors and such sweet toy to help mom work in the garden!
This is a darling set for a child to play or real garden. You can fill the little watering can with water and the child can water flowers with you. The tools fit a child's hand perfectly. The little pots and carrots are just so cute with the plant label sticks it really is a well thought out and designed set. This would be fun in the bathtub or at the beach or in the sandbox - or just on the floor playing pretend. Each item is well made, sturdy and no pointed or sharp area to be wary of. ... show more

    • Green Product--Bioplastic
I marked down this set by a star because it is very pricey for what you get. BUT it is not cheaply made. Designed and manufactured in Denmark by Dantoy, this particular Green Garden Planting set is made from a byproduct of sugar cane. It is nontoxic and dishwasher safe (wash before using) which is a big plus. You get a watering can, three carrots, two pots, one with a removable lid, a trowel, a hand rake, two plant ID sticks and some stickers. Now we all know we could probably find toy garden sets for less than half the price of this set. But I doubt they will be anywhere near the quality or durability of this set, to say nothing about the eco-friendly manufacturing of this Danish set. I have another Dantoy beach/sandbox set that is fantastic. Note, too, that this set can be used for pretend play or real garden use (with adult supervision) as the child gets older. Says it's free from: pthalates, fragrances, aromatic solvents, PVC, leads, cadmium, mercury and tin organic compounds, and uses colorants approved for food use. Nordic Ecolabel certified. It might be worth the extra cost to support manufacturers that are producing safe and environmentally conscious goods. ... show more

These are cute, but I was hoping they would be sturdier. They are thin plastic. That’s why I only gave them a three rating. My 3 year old great granddaughter seemed to be interested only in the carrot bucket. The rest she ignored.

    • Strong even than I expect
I bought this for my 2 year old boy because he started to mimic me in the garden. I planed to use this to keep him entertained and think they are just fake ones so he should be happy. Then I realized that these things are strong enough for him to dig in the real garden too. Man, I feel I get extra stuff... overall, it is in very cute design, durable and a lot of fun. ... show more

    • Cuteness overload
This set is the sweetest little thing. It comes with two tools for pretend play. They can ‘plant’ the carrots two different ways, it even comes with the little label stick that you can put stickers on. The carrot tops come off also for more pretend play. I got this for my 4month old for when she is old enough to sit but my 4 year old stole it and has even enjoyed playing with it. ... show more
