I ordered this same style of Dansko Sassy shoes last summer in a different color and had to return them because they ran too small. This time around, I chose the black pair in the same size, and the fit is absolutely perfect. I’ll admit, I hadn’t worn heels in a while. Between getting older and dealing with a few health setbacks, I’d become a little unsteady in most heels. These, however, were a pleasant surprise. The wide, stable heel makes a huge difference and keeps you from feeling wobbly. Once they were broken in, they became very comfortable while still looking polished and stylish. The leather feels high quality, the arch support is noticeable, and the shoes feel sturdy without being heavy. They’re the kind of heels you can confidently wear for longer periods without regret. Classic, supportive, and attractive, these shoes truly don’t disappoint. I’m very happy with this purchase.

A shoe saga in three parts (or, a honeymoon tragedy, ameliorated by Dansko)
Several years ago I went to Japan on a work trip during the hot summer. I am a pastry chef, familiar with Dansko clogs (industry standard), so I bought a pair of Dansko slide-on sandals to wear while sightseeing, etc. They were perfect. I loved them so much, back home I wore them everywhere during warm weather and bought a second and then a third pair as each previous pair started to look shabby after extended use/abuse. I'm hard on shoes as a rule. Then two years ago my husband and I went to Europe for a (very belated) honeymoon. I made the critical, obviously idiotic mistake of buying (non-Dansko) shoes to bring and didn't wear them at all before the trip, then wore them with a pair of thin pop socks on our first day--a day trip to Versailles. The resulting blister was so bad that I couldn't wear a shoe with a back on it for the rest of the 3-week trip. Thank goodness I had brought my trusty Dansko sandals. But it was October/November, and I was wearing sandals--in Europe. I found that everyone stared at my bare, white toes. So the solution was to wear black socks under my black sandals. Fewer stares, but still pretty bad. Nevertheless, my feet were perfectly happy walking miles and miles every day in my faithful, comfy, sturdy Dansko slides. I'm heading to Europe again and I have been agonizing over what shoes to bring. It'll be December, so I need something closed(!), and also want something at least a bit nice-looking, and I have ordered I think five pairs of shoes/boots to try out (and mostly return) for this trip. These gorgeous clogs (I guess they're clogs?) arrived today and I put them on and immediately knew--these are The Ones. Prince Charming couldn't possibly have brought me a better fit. The arch support is wonderful. These feel like a dream. I'm in love. (If there's one thing I don't love, it's the fact that the insole, which is beige, shows at the sides of the shoe (both sides) and contrasts sharply with the black of the rest of the shoe and with any dark sock I might wear.) I will update this review once I've worn them more, but for now, wow.

Classic style, comfortable high heels

I don't wear heels anymore but wanted one pair of classic high-heeled shoes that could be dressed up or down. These shoes are perfect; they work with skirts and also jeans or pants. Having read the reviews, I ordered one size up (9.5-10 instead of my usual 8.5-9) as I thought they might be too narrow. The larger size fits perfectly. They are a timeless style and super comfortable right out of the box. Love the color, slate gray; they work well with everything in my wardrobe. In addition, they were 40% off -- a great price for a pair of Danskos. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great quality, style. Probably not for wider feet.

Love the grey color and the fit is very good for my size 7, medium width foot (on the narrower side of medium). They're not slip-ins. When I put them on. I have to sit my heel in properly and close the strap. Once I'm in, they're super comfortable. Quality shoes.

I JUST LOVE DANSKOS!

Second pair I just purchased. That shows how much I loved the first pair. Bought both for work; but the comfort lasts for only half of my shift. I am an RN. However, when comfortable, I love it and I receive plenty of compliments! … I will not use this pair for work. Will dress up casually when I go out.

Excellent Shoes!

These shoes are incredibly comfortable! Shoes NEVER feel good to me. They usually cause terrible bunion pain, but the leather on these are so soft that they melt onto my feet. Then I tried knitted sweater tights with them, and they still felt wonderful! I’m very happy with my purchase, and definitely recommend them. BTW: They are exactly true to size for a medium wide foot with bunions and bunionettes . I believe they are definitely a good value for the money considering what leather shoes cost nowadays.

great clogs - run 2 sizes small !

Love Dansko shoes. These clogs were well made as expected. Very cute as expected. Unfortunately the color was not as advertised or expected. Sadly I had to return them because they run at least two sizes too small. I purchased the exact same size as Dansko professional clogs that I already own and these were at least two inches shorter side by side - could not even cram my foot in. Usually Dansko shoes are worth the price, but these are not - unless you know to size up to full sizes and don't buy them if you have wide feet.
