  • So many compliments.
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Petrol
I have been wearing dansko’s for almost 10 years now. Love that there are so many pattern/color choices for a shoe that is not really considered “stylish”. These are the only shoes I will wear to work, they are a bit snug at first but will stretch a bit with wear. I have pairs that I’ve had for 5 years and still wear. At the end of a long day with patients my feet don’t hurt at all, not like they would when I would wear tennis shoes that were just as expensive. I usually wear an 8.5 and wear a 39. Keep in mind that your heel should slide up and down slightly when you walk for a correct fit. ... show more

  • A worthy splurge!
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Petrol
I rarely buy shoes online unless they are a brand and style I’m familiar with, or if I know I can return them to a brick and mortar store because shipping can be a major hassle. I ordered these because I had wanted them for a while but no retailers within a 30 minute drive of me carried them. I am so pleased!! I wear a solid US 8 in 98% of shoes with scant variation, although my Birkenstock’s are a 38 EU, but the 39 in these fits like a freakin dream!!! They are ever so slightly looser on my left foot because my right foot is my dominant side and where I tend to lean, but it’s not noticeable enough for me to be bothered by it. The color is adorable and beautiful while still being just fun and funky enough and will look great with both jeans and my dress pants for work! You cannot go wrong with the amount of support these provide! Yes, they are firm, but as an avid wearer of orthotic shoes (weird for a 28 year old woman to say, but you only get one body!), they are an absolute dream to wear. ... show more

My 29 yr nursing shoe favorite! I went to Dansko after a struggle w plantar fasciitis- have never had another flare! I work 4 x 12 shifts a week, my legs and feet only survive thanks to Dansko. Dansko is the benchmark— expensive and worth it!

  • The oil spill look is a coating that rubs off
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Petrol
I’m disappointed with this buy that I was very excited about ordering. My first danskos after 14yrs of nursing. They fit well. Can’t complain about that. They are on the heavier side so if you are putting on the miles across a hospital they get to be a bit much. My big disappointment is that this fun oil look is a coating on the shoes NOT part of the material therefore if you flick the brakes/drive gear on a gurney from underneath you will completely ruin the look of your shoes in one shift as I did. Now I have ugly expensive shoes 😩 ... show more

  • Perfect!
Size: 8.5-9 Color: Black Cabrio
I donated an old pair of Danskos over the past year--they got me through medical school and residency, squeaking the entire way. Then this pandemic hit and I needed to return to wearing scrubs, which I hadn't for 5+ years. I wanted a pair of shoes that could easily be cleaned, slipped on, and left in the garage when I go home, and Danskos came to mind. I wear a size 8.5 and bought the 39s. You want to be able to fit a finger behind the heel to ensure a perfect fit. These hit the mark. Two months in and no squeaking. My back doesn't hurt, my feet don't hurt, the shoes look great after 2 months of daily use and sitting in my garage and being wiped down every day. I forgot that I actually liked my Danskos. I think I might have to buy more pairs/styles after this. Recommend for comfortable, durable, and practical shoes. ... show more

  • I experimented with options and these were by far the winner for a total skeptic!!
Size: 7.5-8 Color: Black Oiled
THESE SHOES ARE SO COMFY. I was a true skeptic before owning these. I thought the insole was more important than the shoe itself. I went from a job that I’m sitting 8 hours a day to one where I’m standing without a break for 12+ hours 6 days a week. My feet were killing me. I could barely walk on them at the end of the night they hurt so much. I purchased expensive running shoes and 100$ insoles and PT tape and a foot massager and took to NSAIDs just to get me through the day, and these things helped... until the 8-10 hour mark when it once again started to feel like I was walking on bruises. Enter these danskos. Holy hell. From the second I put them on I instantly felt better. The following day I wore them to work and I wouldn’t even think twice about my feet until I went to take my shoes off 14 hours later. The following day I decided to untape my feet and remove the expensive insoles and my feet still felt amazing. I thought maybe my feet had just gotten used to standing so long so I tried to go back to running shoes one day (it’s the scientist in me. I just had to experiment) and I returned to aching, throbbing feet. I tried to put the dansko insoles into another pair of my shoes and nope. I don’t know what kind of magic they sew into these things but I am a total convert. No wonder all of my doctor and nurse friends swear by these. Wow. The one and only downside I have discovered after wearing these daily for 3 months now is the fact it’s super easy to roll your ankle. The platforms are high and the ankle support is minimal. I would be walking on a flat even surface and I would trip and roll my ankle to the side. I never got injured and maybe I’m just clumsier and less center-balanced than most but it is a serious consideration. I wouldn’t want to run in these. I’m sure I could but the ankle rolling incidence rate would surely sky rocket. I did try out both the original and the professional 2.0 danskos and preferred the latter for the better ankle support and the ability to replace the insole if need be. Now if only I could find a pair of these in a doc martens style boot and I will never take them off. ... show more

  • Great choice for arch support
Size: 7.5-8 Color: Black Cabrio
I am a registered nurse and works full-time, 12 hour days with very opportunities to be off my feet. I recently consulted an orthopedic specialist for progressively worsening left foot-ankle pain. After careful assessment, I was diagnosed peroneal tendonitis and flattened arch on that side. He also noted pronation, likely the cause of bilateral knee pain (vastus medialus oblique muscle). I am on a wait-list to start a course of physical therapy, but in the meantime, I ordered this shoe in my regular size (European equivalent of US 7.5 Medium)and wear it at work, on routine errands, and even around the house. It is firm, supportive, and comfortable without pronation. The first day I wore them, my foot-ankle discomfort was significantly improved. I am very encouraged that these issues will respond well to treatment, which begins with a supportive shoe. I also purchased the Dansko Paisley sneaker, another excellent choice for comfort, support, proper alignment. ... show more
