I needed a pair of waterproof shoes in a wide width for a trip to Scotland - where you definitely need waterproof everything - as well as shoes with some traction for wet, marble stairs, cobblestone steps, and muddy nature trails. I tried numerous pairs of shoes that were either too narrow or too uncomfortable. I have a slightly wider than “B width” shoe so I ordered my usual size 8 1/2 wide. My feet are almost 68 years old so I need supportive shoes, as well. These Dansko shoes were exactly what I needed and they performed well for our two week trip. They are lightweight and did not require a breaking in period. I wore them only a couple of times before the trip. They are very comfortable for a wide foot and very supportive, although not soft and pillowy like athletic shoes. We averaged about 8 miles per day walking in cities or hiking on trails in natural areas. Although it rained almost every day, my feet stayed dry throughout the trip. I wore them with navy and khaki but this neutral looks good with any color. I’ll continue to wear them for many more hiking and traveling adventures. I highly recommend these shoes!

My second pair since being figured by the orthotist after my June 2021 trimalleolar fracture with dislocation which required surgery with PT. After such a break, the shoes you place on your feet will become too priority! This pair of Danskos has been my go to shoe for most everyday because it addresses my injury and gives my foot the support, comfort, top quality it needs. Working, hiking, even on vacation- this shoe is always with me. With these shoes my balance is better, they are water proof and skidproof (what a piece of mind considering my injury occurred with a slip and a fall!). They are comfortable and have always been a pleasure to wear! Give your feet the quality they deserve! Worth every penny! Confidently walking 4 years on at age 60!

I had a bit of trepidation about getting a shoe that wasn’t an exact US size and how it would fit. These blew me away! They fit perfectly and make my feet look small! Very supportive, comfortable, and the sole is very good and not slippery. I bought these as it is winter and I wanted shoes that are waterproof, and had good soles. These are comfortable right out of the box, look nice, and I have already gotten compliments! I usually wear Hoka running shoes, but they are not good in the winter. I can see wearing these shoes all year round. AAAA++++

I couldn't get over how these shoes feel like they were made just for my feet !!! Great arch support I mow for a living and ride a zero turn mower for 6hrs straight a few days a week. The foot lift on the mower can be hard on the feet. These shoes ( I bought 3 pair because the feel so good !) have relieved alot of foot pain and fatigue at the end of a 16 hr day. I highly recommend these shoes. They seem to be holding up well but have only had them 4 or 5 months. They're very comfortable to walk around in. Didn't have to break them in.

The she is supremely comfortable. It feels like I could walk or stand in them all day, but I haven’t tested that theory yet. They are true to size but make my feet look tiny. I love everything about them but the shoelaces-which are fine and I’m sure will last a long time, but give it a work boot vibe rather than casual shoe.

I bought these for a trip to Scotland bc they’re waterproof and I love Dansko’s. They were comfortable from the beginning and I worn them around to “break” them in (which was totally unnecessary). They are my most comfortable shoes and they did great on my trip. I highly recommend these as a hiking shoes, working shoes, whatever shoes!! They are waterproof and had great traction even on slippery surfaces. I will definitely repurchase in the future!

***Update!*** About a month ago I noticed that the heel of the right foot was starting to bubble at the back. This bubble grew quite a bit and finaly ripped this last week. I have a large flap of sole that catches every time I take a step now. I have never had this happen in any other pair of shoes that I have owned, useless vibram soled or not. As a former figure skater I was able to deal with how dangerously slippy these shoes where on wet tile and greasy kitchen floor at my work. But to have a pair of shoes from a brand that are so well known for their longevity start to fall apart on me in half a year is unacceptable. Expecialy as I have been a repeat customer and all of my past pairs have been forcably retired after a year and a half (soles where still good but a few holes in the toes) Note that not only is there a gaping hole, the separation also extends further along under the sole. I really wish I could review the shoe body and the sole separately. The fit is amazing and I like the updated take on the old Sabrina style. For this I give it a solid 5 stars. Unfortunately I am forced to give only one as it does not perform the task it was purchased for. I have been a loyal buyer of the old Sabrina style shoe for use at the restaurant for the past couple years (a pair a year for three years) and they where phonominal. The sole never slipped on the kitchen floors until they where extremely worn down. But the soles they have on this pair are complete garbage. They stick horribly on the carpet making me trip constantly, and on any tile or kitchen floor if there is the slightest drop of water it's like walking across a ice rink in soap covered shoes. They seem to have used an outside source for their soles as they say vibram in yellow. I have not seen this on their shoes before. I was hoping they would work better as I wore them in but it's been a few weeks and nothing. I am highly disappointed in their performance, and they are a safety hazard. I have been a big fan of Danscos tennis style shoes for their durribility, but unfortunately if they keep using these crap soles I will have to find a new brand to buy from.
