First things first. I bought these because I work in the restaurant industry and wanted some quality shoes to last me longer than the kitchen clogs I usually wear. Going from regular Crocs style to these was a HUGE change to my arches...which were on fire after the first day of wearing these shoes. They legitimately felt bruised, however, I pushed on. I wore them every day despite the supreme amount of pain to my arches and finally got to a point where they didn't hurt anymore. Since then they have held up great and my feet have adjusted so they feel just fine. Pretty tight though so if you are planning on putting an insole I suggest getting a size up from your usual. All-in-all I like the shoes, and they add like an inch in height so that's cool. Just be prepared for some arch adjustment if you have flat feet! ... show more

Very sturdy with good cushion. Runs true to size, but there should be room in the back so your heel can move up and down without rubbing against the back.

My mother has a bad back and these shoes help her get around easier. Especially when she works. My mother works in a kitchen that caters to weddings on the weekends. This requires her to stand on hard floors and walk around for many hours. These shoes make it so much easier for her to get around. Sure she still comes home with a sore back and with sore feet but these shoes help her so much. Without them she would probably be unable to get around after a long weekend. These shoes are high quality and long lasting. They fit just the way they should have and have a comfortable arch. They make take some getting used to, as my mother said but once you do, they're amazing shoes. Worth the money and that's the most important thing. (To me.) ... show more

i guess i should start this review with saying i bough my first pair of dansksos 10 years ago, loved them and wore them to bone and was looking for a replacement pair after the sole started coming off. naturally, i turn to amazon to buy something i'm familiar with. bought the same exam size. the fit was a little tight, but i vaguely remember my first pair being a bit tight and that there was a "break in" period. it however go to the point that my feet were aching terribly by the end of the day. nevertheless, i continued to wear them daily to "break them in". after 3 months, i could not suffer any longer. they did not feel any looser after 3 months compared to day 1. overall, they felt pretty rigid. i actually questioned (and still do) whether these are real danskso or some cheap knock off being sold as dansko. to make matters worse, i developed a bunion on one of my feet and as most of us know surgery is the only option for that. i'm terribly disappointed in my purchase and absolutely regret buying these. i'm back to wear my nike air force ones at work. ... show more

I wish I hadn't waited so long to get these! My two hour pill window no longer kills my feet and back, so I'm able to last the other half of my shift and not be in extreme pain when I get home. I got a size larger than normal, so the band across the top of my foot is snug, but the toe box has plenty of room to move my toes. Again, these are the most comfortable shoes I've gotten as a nurse so I'm looking forward to buying a second pair. ... show more

Ive returned a smaller size already this size fits alot better but after 2 weeks they still are preety hard on my feet eapecially once I take them off then the aches really kick in. I have worn these shoes for my entire medical career over 4 decades right up to retirement. They are quite expensive but last a long time and are high quality. My only issue with my current pair was that the right foot felt smaller and was harder to get into than the left shoe. Of course being Amazon prime, they immediately replaced them and the replacement pair fits perfectly. That is why I buy everything I can from Amazon. Basically their feeling is the customer is always right and that is why Jeff B. is the richest man in the world. Also there are "clog" fitting instructions inside the box. It says that one should be able to insert the small finger between the heel and the shoe. Also, it states that the heel should move up and down freely even if the clog is closed at the back. It reminds you the toe should not touch and to always size the larger foot. They should put these instructions in the ad. Even after wearing these exact shoes for 40 years I did not realize these facts. Unfortunately they are inside the box after you open them and not in the ad. Great shoes ! ... show more

I am so glad I ordered these shoes after reading the reviews. They look clunky at first, but man, they are incredibly supportive. I have high arches in my feet and these shoes support those more than any others I have tried. I work at a standing desk and my feet were killing me throughout the day. Now I just slip these on at work and the relief is wonderful. Size wise - At first I ordered one size larger like some reviews said, but I found those too large. So I ordered more around my size, and found them still a bit large. They didn't have the size lower... but they fit enough and make my feet feel so much better that it was worth wearing them a bit large. Order some.. it's totally worth it! ... show more
