I have a really bad back/nerve damage and am unable to put my heels on the floor so tennis shoes are extremely difficult to find. So when Dansko came out with these that are the same height as their professional series I was so excited and purchased my usual size. Unfortunately when I got them and tried to wear them to work out they ended up being way too tight over the instep. Now I do have a very high instep and usually have some trouble with the professional series also but these were just a bit worse and caused quite a bit of pain and numbness so I sent them back as there was very little give. Otherwise these shoes were perfect, super comfy and the perfect height of heel. Oh and they are light as a feather, which is great for travel. So after I looked forever to find a shoe that would work, to no avail, I ended up purchasing the larger size, which is way too long case I’m really a 7.5 and these were 9.5’s but because of the low volume they work. So, if you have a high instep or shoes by Dansko are generally tight over the top of your foot then go up a size, these are really great shoes and fun to work out in. ... show more

There are no half sizes. I was given a 9 when I ordered an 8.5
