I ordered these boots as a snow storm approached because I have plantar fasciitis and wanted to have a boot with good support. Dansko does not disappoint in this area! But the boots are so much more than supportive. I think they are cute and have loved wearing them all day many days in a row because they are cushiony and wonderful. I wear size 9 and ordered size 8.5-9 (39) and they fit fine, even with my thick wool socks. I have wide feet and have not found a problem with these. I have worn them through snow and to walk a snowy gravel road and appreciate the insulation, waterproof factor, and easy wipe-clean care. The side zip helps them be easy on/off. Great product, very pleased.

I am new to Dansko shoes so this review is for others like myself and may be lengthy. I read too many reviews that just said they loved them or they are comfortable; that tells me nothing about the product. I may have missed an aspect but here it is. While I can’t speak to the waterproofing of these ankle boots nor any lengthy wear; I can say that they are comfortable at first try and for short walks. I plan to wear these in Ireland in June. The modern style is attractive. The brown color looks slightly distressed; obviously not shinny brand new looking. I like the look. The insole can be removed to be replaced by my/your own orthotics. For size reference: I wear a 7.5 in Asics (to allow for foot swelling during exercise), a 6.5 W in some flat dress shoes and a 7 in Lugz sneakers. I bought the 6.5-7 (37.5) they fit like a 7.5 (38). I will keep the size because I can wear thicker socks with them. With a medium weight sock they slip a tad in the heel but not enough that they would flop off the foot. The width is also a little loose, but again not enough that my foot is going to slide around; let’s say they don’t squeeze the toes. For women with bunions from years of wear heels, these would be perfect. The leather is stiff and hits the front of the ankle which can be bothersome, probably painful until broken in. They do not make your foot look huge like some waterproof shoes tend to do. The sole is sneaker-like and very comfortable; this is the reasons I chose them. The heel height is not noticeable even though it looks like a wedge bottom. They aren’t heavy on the foot. And they appear to be well made with quality materials. I didn’t want to wear sneaker looking shoes on my trip but I also wanted the wedge look and sneaker feel; these are perfect.

Loved the style. Felt like a comfortable footbed. Not a ton of arch support. Liked the height and waterproof feature…but just ran wide for my narrower than average foot and heel. Would have needed a very thick sock in my normal size. I guess I’m not completely surprised as the Dansko professional clogs were always too wide for me as an ICU nurse as well. I can see how the beautiful leather would be very easily marked up as others mentioned.

I bought these specifically for the Fall/Winter with rainy PNW weather. They are comfortable and have a nice cushion feel. They do squeak on surfaces like carpet. I have a 36 size and have plenty of room for my tiny feet.

I have owned and LOVED roughly about 40 pairs of Danskos since 2002. I've also bragged about them and had all of my friends, family and many, many co-workers turn to Dansko however, I've had to return the last several pair I've ordered from both Dansko and Amazon due to incorrect sizing. They've obviously changed something. They're just not the same. The fit is off and they are no longer true to size. The 36 I ordered side by side with the current pair of 36 I wear are drastically different. I've tried ordering a size down and they're too small. Sadly, I will be returning these as well and.. hopefully one day find a brand that is a good as Dansko use to be.
