The Danco Waterproof Silicone Sealant Grease is ideal for lubricating faucet stems, valves and cartridges when repairing a leaky faucet. Plumbers Faucet and Valve Grease helps reduce friction, provides long-lasting lubrication and helps hard-turning faucets work smoothly. It is NSF 61 approved and meets or exceeds the requirements of FDA regulation 21. Our Silicone Faucet Grease works well in temperatures between -40° to 400° F and can be formulated for many plumbing and household applications. This Silicone Faucet Grease is water resilient and oxidation resistant and can be used on ceramic stems.     • Makes inserting a shower cartridge super easy!
I didn't trust the lube that came with the Moen shower cartridge. After applying, it went into the valve like a hot knife through butter. Shower value works great! Will keep the tube around for any gasket that needs replacing.

Bought this product after NOT receiving originally purchased item. This seems to have done the job just as well. Looked abit "dry" when it came out, but quickly lubed up the threads on pipe piece.

Worked great for installation of bathtub faucet control valve. I have installed two valves now. Since you only need to use a little bit of this on the valve this lube will be around in one of my toolboxes long after I’m pushing up daisies!

Great stuff - use anytime you install smoothing that has a rubber O ring. I found this particularly useful for strainers and water filter housings. Before using this grease, removing the lids and housings required a special wrench which I somehow managed to lose every time needed to use it. The grease works wonders. Put just a thin film on the rubber ring when you install the cap or cover. When you go to remove the cap or cover later, you will be able to twist it off with your hand. Amazing. ... show more
