This maysida Unicorn Dance Mat will be a Christmas gift for my almost 3 year old granddaughter. It was received well packed a card board box and a plastic bag. Because it’s a Christmas gift, Hubby and I had to unpack it to ensure it would be OK. The mat measures about 4’ x 4’ and unfolds easily but doesn’t lay flat instantly because of the vinyl. I laid it in my garage, which is hot, and within 30 minutes the mat was very pliable and laid perfectly flat. The yellow control box requires a Phillips screwdriver to install 4 AA batteries. A button on the mat starts and stops the mat’s operation. The LED window on the control box shows the current mode of play and score. The control box also displays the key light/symbol that corresponds to the symbol on the mat that you are to tap/press. This is the one thing that I don’t care for and I think will be difficult for my younger grand and great grands. Our other mat actually lights up the area you are to tap/press. The Volume and Mode controls are on the Mat. Overall, the mat works as designed and is really pretty in the Unicorn motif. It is waterproof and can be easily cleaned. Hubby and I followed and completed several modes but as I mentioned, this may be a bit difficult, initially, for younger Toddlers.

So many kids (and adults alike) are just glued to their mobile device screens these days. This is a nice gift of young children to encourage them to move around instead. The mat is about 4 ft x 4 ft and is powered via four AA batteries, not included. (Also not included: the Philips head screwdriver you will need to open and lock the battery compartment.) The mat itself doesn’t light up so it might make it a bit difficult for younger toddlers. The vinyl material makes it easy to wipe down the mat. With patient adults, this can be hours of movement and fun for the little ones.

Fun mat for the toddlers - requires 4 AA batteries and a Phillips screwdriver to insert in he yellow controller box. Found the remote a bit difficult to find and use - but it works OK. Hours of noisy fun for the kids

My 3-year old granddaughter and I enjoyed playing together with the Unicorn Dance Mat recently. I initially thought that the mat itself lit up to indicate where to step; however, it doesn't. The yellow display box, at the top of the mat, shows you where to place your feet. My granddaughter hasn't exactly caught on to this concept yet. Since the controls for the different modes and volume are on the mat, it's very easy to accidentally change the settings without intending too. This toy does get kids up and moving though!

Easy to use and set up!! Requires 4 double A batteries but after that, it works like a charm. Love the music and all the sounds, they literally jump around and have fun while the tv is playing. Worth the money
