  • I found a size chart that might be helpful
Size: Small
I am really enjoying this glove so far. The leather is thin and supple, so it only took me a single archery practice to get it worn in. In some other reviews, I have seen people mention that they think the glove is too thin. I am shooting with a 30# recurve bow, and for a lighter weight bow, I think this glove is perfect. Before I bought this glove, I spent a bit of time wavering over which size to purchase. Finally, I did a little research, and I found a sizing guide listed on the 3Rivers Archery website. According to that website, Damascus gloves are listed in Mens sizes. Here is the size chart I found: "Extend your hand flat. With a measuring tape, wrap it around the hand just below the knuckles and fingers, but above the thumb. Apply the measurement to the chart below. Damascus Gloves If Hand Measures (Men's Sizes) 8" = Small 9" = Medium 10"= Large 11"= X-Large Based on this size chart, I purchased a size Small. I was a little concerned about that when I ordered, because while my fingers are short, they are also thick, but the fingers on this glove are wide, so the glove I ordered fits pretty well. I have only noticed two small issues with the glove so far. One is that that velcro strap around the wrist can be a bit scratchy at times. Also, I have had the seam for the reinforced tips catch on the string a couple times when I've released. I'm fairly new to archery though, so I may have been releasing improperly. Overall, I really do like this glove. I find it much nicer to use than a finger tab, and I'm hoping it will last me a long while. ... show more

  • Decent glove
Size: Medium
I ordered this glove because it is a little thinner than most archery gloves. I had been shooting a practice bow bare handed but when I got a new bow needed to have some finger protection and didn't want anything too thick while getting used to using one. I am happy with the glove as it seems that it will break in quickly and doesn't cut off all the string sensitivity. It seems to breath well as my hand wasn't overly hot after shooting for 30 minutes in the Florida heat. The size chart listed on the amazon page is off though. I used the one listed on 3Rivers archery and am glad I did or the glove would have been too big for me. The only thing I didn't like about the glove is that it smells pretty bad and the velcro strap around the wrist is rough, hoping it will break it quickly too. Its is also a bit on the pricey side for as thin as it is. I don't think it will hold up well. ... show more

  • Comfortable
Size: Small
Bought a size small to shoot my 20 pound bow recurve with. My fingers don't hurt even after shooting for several hours. The leather feels soft and is comfortable to wear. The velcro doesn't touch my skin. I like that the leather is thin enough you can feel the string. I was a little worried because of the men's sizing, but it fits fairly well except for the wrist being a little loose, which is doable with tightening the velcro strap. The glove fits my fingers perfectly. My middle finger measures 3 inches, from tip of middle finger to wrist is around 7 inches, and wrist circumference is around 6.5 inches. Stitch quality is just okay and is very uneven in places. Hopefully it'll hold together for a while. ... show more

  • Wrong Colour/Sub-par Comfort
Size: Medium
I bought this as a backup for my OMP glove which I messed up sewing. Upon first look, the glove was quite dusty and had that attic smell. Still does. Comfort wise, it is as advertised: soft, supple, and comfortable. However, my issue lies in the wrist strap. My OMP glove used leather as the strap so it’s much more comfortable, but this glove uses the the bare Velcro strap as the wrist strap, which cuts into your wrist and hand. I may got to a tailor to get this fixed. Honestly, that confused me as to why they went with that idea. Lastly, the colour of the glove looks nothing like the glove advertised. The one in the photo looks more black/dark brown. The one I received was more like white coffee/milked coffee. Although, it’s not a bad pairing for most traditional gear, my set up is almost entirely black, so to have a light brown glove is extremely odd. ... show more

  • Really like it--a bit thin.
Size: Medium
It's a great glove, but it's right on the threshold of being too thin for me at 50 pounds. Other than that, it's well-made, comfortable, and you have to love the dexterity that's available with a glove that a tab just can't match. You're always ready to shoot, but don't have the equivalent of 3 fingers a la ninja turtle. The release is smooth, but a tab will be smoother. So far, I haven't grooved it too bad, the stitching is holding, and the velcro is fine. Don't be macho about ordering a shooting glove. Check the sizing guides online. I have, what most people would call, large-sized hands. However, my hands are narrow, and a medium stretched to give me a good fit. If you have a bunch of excess hanging off the end, you're going to get slapped in the face or mess up your release. The glove will break in some. If you're shooting a 50 pound bow or under, give this a try. If you're shooting a tree trunk with a string on it, go for something heavier, preferably with cordovan or nylon reinforced tips or finger stalls. ... show more

  • Nice but not perfect
Size: Large
Overall a nice glove with some problems. The glove is well made. Stitching and leather held up well over a year of use. One finger on my glove has a tendency to twist uncomfortably, I do not know if this is a problem that other people have or if it is just my glove. Sizing seems to be a bit on the small side. Tips are a bit too thin in my opinion. They afford great sensitivity to the string, but after 100 shots my fingers are almost numb with a 45lb bow. For this reason I tend to reach for my other gloves over this one. If you like a thin glove you will like this one. If you have soft baby hands like me and don't like sore fingers, look elsewhere. ... show more
