I almost didn't purchase this item because of all the reviews saying this doesn't stick well; I'm glad I took a chance. Product arrived on time. Followed the directions and this thing stuck like cement! I decided to cut mine into strips so I had a larger foot print area and it still worked great. I've been out 4 times abusing my board, some of the days being cold in the single digits, and this pad is solid! Also, the larger spikes gives excellent grip even if there's some snow build-up on the board. How I installed: -made sure my board and pad were room temp by leaving inside overnight. -cleaned the board surface with rubbing alcohol and let dry. * *Pro Tip: if the top of your deck is high gloss, before the alcohol, try using a scotch pad or light abrasive to carefully and gently scuff the surface only where your pad will contact* * -used a blow drier on hot setting and warmed the board surface and sticky side of the pad for 2-3 min. -peeled the clear plastic from bottom of pad to expose the adhesive and stuck it onto the board. -I set a couple soft cover books on top of the pad and a 25 pound weight on top of that and let it sit for a day. When all was said and done I tried to see if it would peel off but it wasn't going anywhere. Hope this helps, enjoy! ... show more

I originally owned a cloth type stomp pad and didn't really like it. There were still times where my foot would slip off when I'm trying to skate, or there would be snow packed into the grooves of the stomp pad. When I bought my new board, I made sure to find this stomp pad and I absolutely love this product. My foot keeps traction, even when snow gets packed in between the spikes. I also love that it is clear so it doesn't take too much away from my boards design. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone needing a stomp pad! ... show more

I put this exact stomp pad on my Ride Timeless probably 17 years ago. I rode that board in every condition possible and my Dakine stomp pad is still on it and doesnt show any sign of damage and is stuck on there forever. I did not do anything special other then wipe the board with an alcohol pad first then stuck it on. I am retiring the Timeless and just bough another Dakine stomp pad for my next board. If you are in a deep winter snow state (like we are in Colorado) then this is DaKine (the one you want). Even with snow on your board, the spikes mean that you get a firm solid footing. Make sure your board is warm (or heat up the board where the stomp pad will go with a hair drier) and then this stomp pad is there for life and will outlast the base of your board. ... show more

I remembered a mile out from my ski destination that I was gonna put this stomp pad on my new board. So I stuck it under my thigh while driving that last mile. Then I breathed a couple times on my board, wiped it off with my shirt, stuck it, finished getting ready and hit the mountain. It was -1 F outside when I started. It stuck and worked well. Bought this three years ago, still works perfectly. Spiked design makes it hard for ice to build up. Would recommend cleaning the area of the board thoroughly, wipe with alcohol, heat the area, then apply the pad as I did.

This is a great stomp pad! It was recommended to me by a friend who also has this same one. The clear rubber is nice because it doesn’t take away from the board. The studs give excellent grip-ability which comes in handy when getting off the lift. The studs are also helpful to get snow off the bottom of your boot.
