I was warned that a std caulk gun would not work well, and not likely at all, unless heating up the caulk, which could turn into a circus act, since halfway through, I'd need to reheat, while applied adhesive is already curing lol x's 100. I decided to try and do the project fairly correctly which included buying this gun and some purpose-specific plastic chisels. By the way, adhesive accidents can be cleaned up with std mineral spirits or paint thinner, before cured, I'd tried soap and water and just wound up with a mess, paint thinner and rag cleaned my messes up very nicely. ... show more

I brought this Gun because manufacturer claim it's a dripless caulk gun!! Dafeike dripless caulk gun This it's not the best caulk gun but it's a good one,can handle tick material with no effort, it does have a ergonomic handle, overall feels good the only negative point =it's not dripless . Update on 12-11-20 This gun finally give up after a year of everyday heavy work use! (Construction) So Im going to raise to 4**** ... show more

    • Great upgrade to budget caulk guns, but no spout cutter or puncture tool.
Fantastic caulking gun, smooth operation and application. Only wish that it had a built in spout cutter and foil puncture skewer. Otherwise, would have been a perfect product. The benefits of the gun design outweigh those disadvantages.

The caulking gun worked perfectly but the smoothing tools are junk. I tried every edge and after the first pass it chewed up the plastic so the second swipe was chunky and never gave a smooth finish. I ended up going old school with my finger and panters tape edge. Would not buy this again I'd just buy the gun. Disclosure this was my first attempt at caulking so could just be a user error but the finger tape trick worked perfectly! ... show more

Most Caulk I've purchased in the past is in a 10 oz Cartridge, and well this time i purchased a 10.5 oz Cartridge. Picked up this DAFEIKE Drip less Caulk Gun from Amazon. And it works! Built in Cartridge tip cutter is a plus. Rubber handle is also a plus. And the king of features is while caulking you can just revolve the entire cartridge area! (or barrel) Now i can't use a regular caulking gun without this feature. ... show more

    • A simple tool - does the job
Not much to say, simple and works well. Comes with a little paper sheet with basic instructions. I have never used a caulking gun before though so I don’t know: maybe there is a certain higher standard I am not aware of! However, this one had no obvious flaws to my knowledge and got the job done.

This was great to use until the base started to separate. As you can see in the pictures, the joining at the base is coming apart. This is after using the 5th tube of gorilla construction adhesive. The base coming apart is causing a misalignment of the plunger. The misaligned plunger causes the adhesive to get on to the plunger, making this caulk gun pretty useless for me. If you want a premium feeling disposable caulk gun, this is the one. My cheap one from Home Depot is holding up better, despite being less comfortable to use. A tube piercer would also be a nice addition. ... show more
