thanks to good previous reviews, I actually sized up 2 sizes because I ordered fur lined. THESE SHOES RUN SMALL. Little man is in 5t so I attached photo of his current shoes compared to a 7t that I ordered. The fur lining also adds thickness so I wanted to give his feet and socks enough room. Love these shoes. On a side note, I even measured my little guys feet, 4 3/4". The size 7t works for a good thick winter boot for him. With it being winter and heading up into the mountains for snow days, I needed something warm but waterproof and with good traction - this is it. And honestly, he loves them. I bought these for my 5 year old to get sledding... I wanted something that looked stylish but was also toasty warm and would keep his feet dry... I was amazed at the quality considering how inexpensive they were! He went sledding in wet melting mountain snow for several hours and had s socks were dry and feet stayed warm and toasty! I bought 2 pairs for my toddler twins and found them to be too small. I sent them back and got a size up with no hassle. They are really good looking boots! I got the fur lined type to pair with wool socks for the chilly fall weather. We will see how they hold up, but so far so good and very pleased. The insole lining fell out of both boots the first time my son tried the boots on. I purchased a size larger then he currently wears due to reviews saying they ran small. I wish I'd gotten two sizes up since they barely fit even without the insole. He wore them one time (for less than 3 hours) and the tongue fell off of one of them completely upon removing it from his foot. They look nice but the quality of the pair I received left a lot to be desired. I figured for $25 he'd be able to wear them at least a few times before they fell apart. Very impressed on how well they keep my child’s feet warm. If you order the boots with the fur I’d order a size up, but without the fur I’d say it would be true to size. I don’t think I’d be able to put them on their feet with thick socks on, but don’t really need the thick socks with the fur so it kind of evens out. ... show more

These boots fit his foot as expected, and kept my toddlers feet dry, but they are incredibly difficult to put on. I would definitely buy an alternate boot if I could do it again. His heel will not press into the bottom of the shoe until i press and press and shove. Even if i stand him up, it's hard for his foot to go in. He doesn't curl hos toes up like my other kid use to, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Also, if I don't tie them right away, they slip right off again??? They do their job well, they're just a hassel with my wriggly 1 year old. ... show more

The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the material (the colored part of the shoe) rubbed off of the toe of the shoe on both pairs I ordered within the 2nd wear... they still function properly as long as they don’t get wet... that protective layer is gone If they were made out of better material they’d be perfect! ... show more
