I got these based on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. I had just purchased a new Specialized Sirrus X 4.0 hybrid bike, That's a nice bike, but I found that my hands were getting numb on longer rides using the standard grips that come with the bike. I swapped them out for these ergonomic grips and really noticed an improvement! These grips have a broad, flat area for resting your palms. You can also grip them from the side. It's good to have those grip options to prevent numbness. The bar ends are useful for climbing hills too. I was afraid that they might come loose and twist, but that has not happened. I like these. I've had ergonomic grips that look pretty much identical to these in the past from different manufacturers. The difference with these is that they have a tightening bolt on the outside, near where your pinky resides. Not just on the inside near the thumb.
