    • The BEST Upgrade To Both Of My Bikes!

Since I pull various trailers with my road/touring bike or my MTB bike, it has been very annoying (to say the least) the trailer-tongue weight (when carting high loads) unexpectedly pulls the bike down. I've experimented with all sorts of kickstands and contraptions, to counter the twisting effect of heavy trailer-tongue weight. Was about to give up with pulling a trailer, when I spotted this particular kickstand. I was very happy with and still am, with the solid build quality, ease of installation, along with rock-solid materials employed... this is NOT AN OVERSTATEMENT! After several weeks of constantly needing to use this stand, with several heavy trailer trips (at least), I'm very impressed this kickstand keeps my bikes upright! Not once have I had a second thought about whether or not, or even when it will tip over! Even under skeptical heavy trailer loads, this kickstand has been flawless, not even a hint of bending, creaking, or collapsing, NOT ONCE! Grabbing behind the seat, or rear rack, in my attempts to try to tip it over, to see what my limits are... The bike remains stout and rock solid! I'm very happy with this kickstand. This one is significantly heavier than my old one but it's build so well that it barely flexes which means it doesn't flip over with just a light touch or strong breeze like my old one. It also has a wide range of adjustment. I've had it for a couple of weeks and have not had a single mishap that wasn't my own fault. Installation was straightforward if a tiny bit fiddly. As you can see by the review photos this kick stand not being used as initially intended for but however its hard to find a bike trailer kickstand on a budget so I decided to check out regular rear mount kickstands. At first I I kept over looking this thinking it was junk and the 4 hex pin were a gimmick but boy was i wrong. After searching for a few more hours I decided to take a gamble and im glad I did cause most others mounting brackets would be to small due to my trailer tongue being thicker then I expected, so much so I had to remove the inner grip pads to get it to fit. Due to how thick the metal is on the mounting bracket I was able to torque the heck out of 3 large hex nuts (no pun intended) to prevent the kickstand from shifting. Those 4 like hex studs or whatever you want to call them came out to be real handy even though I didn't use the grip pads the allowed me to screw them in tight to press up against the trailer tongue to where the gripped the tube themselves ( im not worry about the powder coat) one installed and adjustable to proper height. Since my trailer is rated for 275lbs pay load and I only plan on hauling 100 - 150lbs max I decided to hop in it (im 130lbs soaking wet) to see if the kickstand would hold, it did, no shifting no bending no nothing. Honestly it held up better then expected since bike stands are only meant to hold the weight of the bike, so I decided to move around on the trailer to shift my weight around, then I shock it back and forth and the kick stand did not budge and held up beautifully. For only $20 this is a good deal and well worth it. Ooh in case yall are interested cause I couldn't find the answer nor could amazon when I asked the AI bot thing but it does come with both Allen wrenches. I would but this kickstand again if I ever needed another kickstand. ... show more

Customer support is completely unresponsive. Seems like a nice product. Easy to install. Worked well until the rubber stopper/foot came off and is now lost; the kickstand is mounted on a 5 yo's bike. It was not attached in any meaningful way as others have noted. Product is now completely useless. Have left three voice mail messages on successive days. No response. Time for the zero star review. It took 2.5 weeks - but seller responded and fixed problem. ... show more

I am writing this before I have my bicycle out on any trails, so for now, this is an installation review. This kickstand was easy to install (with the help of my husband). The kickstand comes with two different sized wrenches and clear photos. Hoping it holds up outside!
