These are simple to adjust the height with a simple pull or push all in one silver metal telescope pole. The thin base is good to use indoors. It was placed outside without the water weight and it remained standing. However the water weight should be used to help minimize falling over and fly always when outdoors. It comes with a balloon cup to put at the top of the pole. However, it is pretty large though it holds balloons. Other standard cups also fit the tip of the pole.
