    • Buy a card mat seperately
All the mats are fine except for the card mat. It's hard to slide the card into the slot, so the card tends to bend. It's also difficult to line up the card perfectly, again because the slot is tight and stiff. I prefer to buy the genuine Cricut brand card mat and then a three-pack of third-party mats separately. ... show more

Hi, I am reading this review because I am not very happy. I purchased this and used it for the very first time and was trying to put it through the machine and the paper kept coming up because the stickiness was gone. I am not very happy. This should not happen for something that is supposed to be reusable, especially on the very first time using it. This made it so that my machine got jammed and the project got ruined.     • Project Mat Set That Works Just Right
Ironically, I bought a Cricut for my wife thinking it would be a cool hobby we could both share. Our adult daughter fell in love with it though and pretty much took it over. Having attempted to help our daughter with some of these crafty projects, I saw great possibilities with this set of mats and ordered them for us. We'd tried some mats in the past with more or less a "Goldilock" experience. That is, this one’s too sticky and ripping up the project while that one is not sticky enough and lets the paper slip frustratingly around. Happy to say we found "baby bear" here with this mat set as these mats work as they are supposed to, even after some light cleaning. The project consistently stays exactly where it should. Additionally, the included envelope mat is just the cherry on top of this set. Never seen one before and the ideas are just a flowing now on possible projects. All said, this is a nice set of mats that does exactly what it should to include the envelope mat. We've now done projects using permanent vinyl, htv, cardstock and leather without any issue. They definitely make projects go easier, quicker, and with less frustration. While my wife and I generally wait for our daughter to show up to use the Cricut, we definitely see this set of mats as a plus in our experience and with the time spent doing hobbies with our daughter. ... show more

I ordered these based on the good reviews but mine turned out to be not sticky at all and for some reason the corners keep bending. I haven't had that problem before.
