I’ve been a fan of Cindy’s for many years in the planner community & attended her workshops at PGW. I expected this workbook/guide to be phenomenal and I wasn’t disappointed. Cindy’s lessons are easy to follow & there’s plenty of space to practice throughout. What I like most is her way of reminding you to practice, practice, practice and don’t be afraid to screw up. As a left-handed person, hand writing is something I’ve always been self conscious about and envious of. I have not made it all the way through the book yet, but after a good hour of flipping through it, I can highly recommend this! The instructions are simple and clear, with good places in the book for practicing. I even appreciate the encouragement because it isn't all rah rah! If you're looking to get into hand lettering for journaling, this is a great start! (It's also super cute!)

This book is the cutest little thing. Very insightful and is helping me with my hand lettering as a beginner. Cindy is a hoot and I enjoyed reading the book. Very clear instructions. Easy to follow. I actually thought the book was going to come as the notepad 🗒 shown on the cover lol 😅 It’s a thick little book and since I’m writing in it I feel like it would be easier if it were spiral bound instead. I’m not too upset though because if you press it flat it’ll stay open with no problem.

Full disclosure, I am a fan of the author. I'm in her Facebook group, watch her YT videos, and have her podcast on my "to listen to" list. However, you don't have to be a fan of CIndy's in order to benefit from her book! She uses easy, practical strategies to help people learn how to improve their lettering and learn different styles. She really breaks down how to form letters, numbers, and symbols in several different styles and gives you the confidence not to be immediately perfect. Her tips are simple but helpful. For example, I always thought I was the bubble letter queen, but her tips have elevated me beyond even my bubbliest bubbles! She has a (sometimes NSFW) monthly lettering challenge, and this book, combined with those challenges has really elevated my writing and hand-lettering! I also just saw that she has a doodles book coming out that I can't wait to order! If you want to improve your writing and/or lettering, grab this right now!

This is a great, practical little book. It gives workbook pages and step by step instructions on how to put the letters together with many many different fonts. It has rich color and nice thick substantial pages. This is a great tool for adults but also simple enough for kids. Maybe something fun to do together. Love it!

This is such a cute book that is actually fun to work on and just read through. I don’t get the feeling or it being like some school book or something and the little blurbs have me laughing because you know Cindy actually wrote them. This is definitely gonna be my go to after a stressful day so extra fancy greeting card messages here I come!

I think this book has the potential to be 5 stars if it were larger, 8x10 or so. The pages included for practice are about the size of my palm and the thickness of the book prevents it from opening fully to provide an easy place to practice writing. The great ideas and details took a long time to produce, it's a shame that the detail of making the book larger and spiral bound prevents me from rating it with 5 stars. And, I would have paid more to cover the additional costs of the printing...too bad it wasn't an option.

Love this book! So detailed and motivating! Teaches you ways to improve your lettering artwork and take splice in your natural handwriting. Well written and clear instruction. The book is smaller than other writing books which I love because it's easy to take with me to waiting rooms etc. And work on.
