The bottle says fragrance free, but due to citrus oil being in the ingredient list, it absolutely does have a fragrance. You'll notice a mildly sweet and citrusy smell when applying this lotion, especially when using it on your face. The fragrance doesn't linger though, so in that sense, the product can be considered fragrance free. I personally love the smell, so it doesn't bother me. As for texture, imagine thin petroleum jelly. It'll have the same mildly greasy feel on your skin but doesn't linger nearly as long as actual petroleum jelly. So why 5 stars? Well, the product has 3 ceramides as well as Kao's proprietary synthetic ceramide (clinically proven to work just as well as actual ceramides). So, you are kind of getting the same primary ingredients as some of the overly hyped-up products at a fairly reasonable price. I have been using Curel Body Lotion for many years. The Uktra Healing one is awesome. Keeps my skin hydrated for at least 24 hours, and so soft too. It’s fragrance free and has the right texture to be quickly absorbed, but keep the skin looking great. I highly recommend it.

So I bought this one, and the itch relief one. I love the fact that it's totally unscented , others I've tried that were unscented somehow had a raunchy smell. It goes on smoothly, but it doesn't leave my skin hydrated for more than a couple of hours. The itch defense one is thicker and it hydrates better and longer. I recommend that one. ... show more
