Swear that I'm in love with this phone, when I read the specifications I was instantly sold. It looks like the new iphone except this has more cameras, picture quality is phenomenal. I've been using the Cubot X30 for over a week now. I bought it on sale for $192. It's an interesting phone. I like the specs and features. However, this phone takes a little getting used to and has some downfalls. The reason I purchased it was because it has 8Gs of memory and 256Gs of storage and the size 6.4 in screen, and for the price, you can't beat it. The things I don't like are the power button and finger print reader are on the right side and volume up/down on the left. It takes a little getting used to compared to other android phones because you accidentally press the volume up/down or turn it off by accident. The finger print reader doesn't work that great with the cover on, but with a little practice with placing your finger in the right position, you can make it work. Face detection never works properly. When watching videos etc, the screen color is preset and no way to adjust color or contrast, only the brightness works. The sound is really good and only has 1 down firing speaker. I use a Ting mobile sim and it works fine. Connectivity and voice speaker is good. Battery charges well, and lasts pretty much all day considering it is 4200mAh. I'm still searching for an adequate camera app to get the best quality photos. With the standard installed app, the selfie camera only peaks at 8.0MP but with other apps you can get the full 32MP. The rear camera's 48 MP works well, but the wide angle and micro cameras are totally useless. If playing games, the Helio P60 processor is really pushed to its limits. So, I basically got this phone for the storage capacity for pic and video downloads. It works fast enough without lagging and the P60 is pushed to its limits. Once you get accustomed to the button layout it's a great phone. I use Spotify for music and discovered that playback can only work using Bluetooth speakers/headphones. A dongle will not work with this phone. But sound quality is surprisingly good. I do not recommend this phone as a main player but as a backup for storage content or if you just want a really good cheap smartphone. Cubot is getting better with their products. ... show more

This is my 2nd Cubot phone but unlike the King Kong 3 that I upgraded with this X30, I've found many problems with the version of Android installed on this X30. It is NOT a clean, bloat free version of Android, but comes with pre-installed "apps" that cannot be uninstalled without advanced tech skills and may even be Spyware. I cannot get notifications to work properly, my Arlo security cameras being the worst example, crap like Digital Wellness, WiFi Update and a custom Home launcher come pre-installed and seem impossible to fully remove, and tech support is non-existent. I am an IT pro and after two weeks with this device have not given up in trying to get it working correctly but I don't recommend this phone. It comes full of spywear, doesn't even hide it well and despite its superior hardware compared to the older, cheaper King Kong 3 model, I miss the dependability and clean Android version of the older model. ... show more

This phone is definitely a flagship destroyer. I can't believe how happy I am with this phone. I replaced my iPhone with this one, and I'm so glad I did. The quality is better, the look is much nicer, it's a fraction of the cost, and it just makes me happy. I will never return to iPhone again. Update - Some features are a little frustrating. The fingerprint reader might as well not exist, and the phone keeps setting itself to vibrate. I plan to keep using the phone though because ultimately it is a really nice phone and still a flagship destroyer. ... show more

Really happy with this phone. My Samsung Galaxy S9 was shot, and I wanted a new phone that was nice, but I only wanted to pay for a "budget level" phone. After some research, I found the Cubot X30 - seemed to have nice reviews and GREAT specs for a "budget price. I've had this phone for a day now and I'm really happy with it. It instantly worked when I popped in my SIM card (Hello Mobile plan, part of the T-Mobile network.) Phone calls are loud and clear. The data transfer from my google drive backup transferred seamlessly, including phone contacts and even my text message threads. Fingerprint scanner seems to work fine. It's a great Android phone. I noticed a few small complaints. The wifi signal isn't as strong as the Samsung. I can't use my home wifi when I'm outside my house. The camera isn't quite as sharp as the Samsung, and doesn't have nearly the same low light abilities. Also, the speaker sound isn't as smooth as the Samsung. To an audiophile's ears, there's a little harshness in the upper mid range. All small complaints. But for a phone that's 1/4 the price, I'm super happy. The main thing that I wanted was just a powerful phone that could run all my apps and have a clean, strong signal. This is it. Go Cubot X30!! ... show more
