Pro's: •Best price online for L shape desk this size, I looked for like 2 weeks dude trust me -I even priced the cheapest normal rectangle desks and couldnt make it cost less(figured if I could get two for cheaper to make the L shape why not?) •It was able to carry the package and to flip it up right and slide into position when it was assembled (without feet pieces on, they don't slide well) •Great for adults who are physically capable of handling the max weight and who wouldn't have access to assistance assembling •The saftey corners from packaging are great to avoid bumps, I love them and I'm keeping them on forever, you can't stop me. •Magnetic C clamps are great for cord organizing, and below the shelf fits a power strip perfectly. •Instructions are easy to understand! -I got nervous opening the package and past ikea meme like experiences, but these were simple and great. -There will be extra screws left over so make sure you pay attention to what kind to use, they're clearly marked. Cons: • The Allen wrench(aka: hex key, L shape mrtal tool) provided is going to strip out before you can finish, it's soft and cheap. - Super common con to buying things like these, get an Allen wrench set or borrow one ahead of time so you don't need to hunt one down part way through assembly •Dirty Job, black dust from the paint or metal, and loose styrofoam - You might want to vaccum and wipe them down individually as you take pieces out, I wish I had. •Some people will need help carrying the weight of the package and flipping it onto its feet once assembled. I'm mentioning this because I don't want you to hurt your back. I'm really happy with my purchase and didn't mind needing to wipe things down or get a sturdier tool to finish the job. It's as sturdy as you'd expect something like this to be. I'm not going to sit on the desk anytime soon but I'm comfortable resting my feet on the bars below. I didn't have issues lifting, assembling or moving it by myself but im not exactly a small guy so I don't want to misrepresent the weight(which I didn't even look at) and someone to hurt their back, not everyone would be physically capable of it and that's okay, asking for help is better than a bad back, ya know?

Firstly, let me state my reason for buying this particular desk. I'm in the middle of certification training for the career I want to be in. That career (and training) requires that I have 3 large spiral-bound books accessible at all times near my computer. So I needed the space for a 17" Laptop and THREE 9x12ish code books. It accomplishes that, with room for a photo, my Creative brand round speakers, desk organizer, LED desk lamp, Alexa and various small decorations. In this regard, I have ZERO complaints. PROS: - Plenty of surface space without taking up a significant portion of floor space. - Truly easy assembly (ESPECIALLY if you're no stranger to Assemble At Home furniture). - Reasonable durability for what it's made of, most in the same class are far less durable. - Attractive, in-style wood finish look (I was actually able to find a rolling shelf unit in the same finish). - Lightweight, so it's very easy to move this desk without disassembling if you have an extra pair of hands (cumbersome shape, not single-mover friendly). - Repositionable "Monitor shelf" (I use it for Alexa and my lamp). - Small desk drawer ideal for pens, a notepad, sticky notes, etc. CONS: - I am CHRONICALLY bashing my knees against the support posts. I keep my laptop at the curved/rounded edge because it works best for my book layout, but that means my 5' 9" tall self had to put bumper guards on the (NECESSARY, I'm not saying it shouldn't have them because it stabilizes the desk and supports weight) support posts. - It's not, and nor will this type of material EVER BE, as solid and sturdy as wood plank desks. It's also lightweight, so that factors in. Expect some wobbles. I wouldn't recommend this, or anything in it's class, for anyone requiring significant weight bearing ability (i.e. multiple towers, heavy screens, stacks of heavy textbooks, etc). - The faux wood finish has managed to rub off onto my code books' covers after a few months of shifting them around. I'd have gotten something to cover the desk or line it had I known this would be an issue. - While the drawer is perfect for casual, lightweight office supplies, it has a max load of about 2-3 lbs. That's not a whole lot if you tend to have A LOT of stationary items, or wanted the drawer for multiple heavier items like external drives, manual/code reference books, etc. All in all, it's a good desk for it's price and the materials it's made of. Save yourself frustration and be reasonable with your expectations for inexpensive items that get delivered to your door by contract services. If you're looking for something more, then your best bet is coughing up the bucks and going to an actual furniture store.

I have used this desk for a month in a half now. Assembly was okay. Nothing too crazy, but it wasn't super easy either. Easy enough and was able to get the job done. It's also difficult to make it balance completely, so I had to put a coaster under one leg to even it out. Minor issue, but still something worth noting. HOWEVER, last week I was leaning on the right side of my desk. I must have put a little too much weight on a weak spot, and the wood completely cracked in half. I am using something to hold the board up right now, and now I have to replace my desk after just 1.5 years of use. You can tell the wood isn't very thick and I should have been more careful, but it's not ideal. Overall, I would recommend the desk, but just beware of the issue. I got what I paid for, I suppose. Just disappointing that it no longer works and it's been long enough where I don't get any help from Amazon, so I will have to order a completely new desk.
