Before buying this desk please read. This desk is not worth the cost. After unboxing it was immediately clear how flimsy the metal legs are. It's stamp folded pop metal. You clould pull the legs apart with little effort. The next big issue is none of frame is square, the edges of the legs, top frame and cross members are flush with eachother. Also the 2 thinly laminate top wood pieces don't line up because of this and it is very visible. Also as shown in the images all of the metal frame came scratched up and after assembly is wobbly. Luckly unlike other reviews mine came with all of the pieces and none of tue leg rails were broken but honestly I dont see this desk lasting very long. If you have just a little extra money get a desk anywhere else. ... show more

Easy to assemble, nice desk for small space. I like the shelves on the side, I switched the order they were to be installed and didny place in the wooden panel on one shelf to have space for my computer tower. Will be able to put shelf back in if we decide to use it for just my work laptop instead.

    • Great once assembled, but assembly is a nightmare
(Four stars because the desk is so nice. The instructions are a nightmare.) I'm a veteran of a lot of furniture assembly, and this was one of my worst recent experiences. First, the good: the desk looks great (I got the "rustic" finish) and feels sturdy. Once it's assembled, it's a joy. Assembly is another story. First, have your own allen key set: I've seen a key strip a screw, but this was the first time I've ever had a screw strip the head of the included allen key. Second, read the instructions VERY closely: many of the pieces are almost symmetrical but have an "up" or "down" without any indication in the directions. My pack was missing one of the required screws (but had three extra of another), so I was lucky to have a replacement on hand. And make sure to read the directions all the way through before you begin, because at least one part (labelled "M") isn't explicitly marked in the directions. Assembly was basically a "two step forward, one step back" process. Slightly better instructions would make this product considerably better. ... show more

I ordered this desk based off of a large number of excellent reviews, however upon unboxing and attempting to assemble I am having a large number of discrepancies with the instructions and the legs. None of the holes match up, I have had 2 other "handy" people look at it too and attempt to help me and we're all convinced that the incorrect legs were sent or the holes drilled in the legs are incorrectly placed (poor quality control). The only way we will be able to put this desk together now is if we were to manually drill holes ourselves for the assembly. ... show more

I'm happy with this purchase. The item is as pictured and although it suggests a two-person assembly, I was able to do it by myself in a few hours. Everything needed to assemble was provided and conveniently labeled, instructions were easy to follow. This isn't the sturdiest of desks. I only recently started working from home after years spent in an office cube (floor mats, thin carpet, desks attached to cube walls, etc.). At home, I have thick carpet. I often find myself trying to use the desk as a brace to pull myself (in my chair) forward and often times the desk bends toward me rather than me going toward the desk. Hard habits are hard to break! I will likely get a floor mat so my chair rolls easier. When adjusting the desk's location, I have to lift and move each end separately to avoid the legs from bending. If you are a heavy handed person, lean on your desk or generally are a rough person, this desk isn't for you. The desk is long and provides a nice workspace but the black attracts fingerprints, smudges, etc. If you eat at your desk like I do, keep something handy to wipe down your workspace. ... show more

I would have given this product a great review but unfortunately it came damaged with a corner peeling and although it's a fairly small area it's very obvious. For obvious reasons (it's heavy and it won't fit in my car) I won't go through the trouble of shipping it back because unfortunately I don't have the time. If it had been intact I would have purchased a second one but I will look for a better quality product on Wayfair instead. ... show more

Husband did not read directions real well. READ THEM. Use the right screws, especially on the shelf attachment. One hole was not where it should be. Did not realize until after we got the drill out that it just was not punched out. Hubby has the new flight simulator program and big monitor and joy stick, the whole bit, so that is what this desk is being used for. Because we had to move it into the living room area, I wanted it to look nice. It does. When I ordered it, it was listed as last one in stock and I was a little wary. It took longer to get here than it said, but arrived in good condition. Metal legs were not as heavy as I envisioned but it is sturdy and certainly satisfactory for our use. ... show more
