I've seen these for a while online now, and there's been so many mixed reviews. Having used it for months now, I've some to the conclusion it seriously depends on skin type and how the user is actually using it. First, the directions say to use wet, so I did. I'll point out this was while I was in the shower and already lathered up with soap and my puffy loofa sponge. Now... you may not realize how much dead skin lingers even AFTER washing off, this will find it and destroy it. I felt sooooo baby butt smooth after I dried off I couldn't believe it. Wax and cream never had me feeling that smooth! I did put clear aloe on my legs after drying off because always gotta stay moisturized!!! Fast forward to the next time I used it, I didn't have time to do full legs, I cheated just the bottoms since I was wearing longer shorts. This time I did a quick dry run since it was so last minute to leave and in 5 minutes I was back to being baby butt smooth! So I figured I can do both either way, and my skin is all the happier about it! Don't go hard, ease into in and give it a feel it it's getting the hair or not. Doesn't work well when it's longer, but WOW is this amazing for touchups in-between the full shave (of buff out) days. Always moisturize after using it!!! Wouldn't totally recommend on more sensitive skin. It's tough around shapely parts like ankles and knees, but I found there are smaller ones out there for those purposes. My teenage girls use this since razors are a bit scary to start out with. Overall I highly recommend this item if used properly and not super sensitive skin.

This is my very first time trying a crystal hair eraser, so I can't compare it to other brands/models/shapes. With that said, this is my genuine first experience of this type of product. I am not fond of having body hair, but I have hated shaving and waxing so much that I stopped doing it. I always managed to cut myself and just never wanted to waste the time doing it, only for the hair to grow back just as fast as it came in. I wanted to try this crystal eraser as soon as I heard about it, as it seemed to promise a less irritating, anxiety-inducing experience that I wouldn't have to do as often. I tried this product immediately upon arrival. I did it in a way that was not recommended: completely dry skin on my lower legs, and using the product right out of the package. I applied very little pressure and worked in circles very quickly. The hair came off so fast it really did seem like magic to me. There was a little irritation after, but far less than I would have expected, given I didn't even follow the directions perfectly. I would recommend people being a bit cautious around any delicate angles where the skin is thin, such as around the knees. I did manage to make myself bleed with this item, but it a negligible wound compared to what I could do with a razor in the same area, and hopefully something I can avoid as I experiment with this new tool. I'm so excited about it, I had to write this review. I feel like it will transform my life; where I would have just given up on body hair removal otherwise and resigned myself to long pants or leggings all summer. I can't guarantee other people won't get a reaction or reddish skin, as we're all different. For me, the irritation on my skin has been the most minimal I've ever experienced, even compared to shaving, and I didn't even follow the directions! I will update later if something changes; I still haven't worked out how long this thing lasts, or if the crystal becomes less effective with time.

I knew this would not be used in place of shaving, especially my lower legs. However, I have a lot of hair on my arms and my upper leg area that is blond and more peach fuzz type so bought this to use on those areas. It works for what I need it to work for. Since the hair is so fine and blond, it takes awhile for it to grow to a length on my arms that bothers me so this little device is absolutely perfect. I use it about once a month, takes about 5 minutes to do both arms and I'm good for at least a month or more before needing to use it again. Love it. Much easier than waxing. I've used it on my upper thigh area as well as that hair also is very fine, blond and slow growing. Nice to be able to quickly remove the hair and move on and not think about it for another month. If you are looking for a replacement for shaving in general, I wouldn't expect this to do that as it states to use once every 2-3 weeks and, if you are like me, I need to shave my lower legs daily. But for fine hair on arms and other areas, this is fast, effective and perfect for that.
