I purchased the Universal Release of Season One when it was first released, and was terribly disappointed when none of the subsequent seasons made it to DVD. Since then I have relied on off-air recordings that left me wanting for more. I have looked at this set for quite some time and not wanting to be burned by some bootleg or subpar presentation, I put off ordering this set until recently during my recent viewing of this series, when my home recordings were deteriorating before my eyes and decided that that $105 was worth the gamble... and WOW did my gamble pay off! This set is released by Via Vision which is an Australian company, which among DVD's they also specialize in their limited-edition Blu-Ray boutique releases (which are flawless - I might add). I recently purchased the original Scarface (1932) and it was awesome! So, as I stated earlier, I figured what could I lose. For the "negatives" (and I am mentioning these because of some of the other reviews, but for me this was NOT a deterrence in ordering this set): 1. These are DVD's and not Blu-rays, so, no you are not getting a Hi-Def experience, but it IS a digital presentation on DVD and is quite impressive with providing a much superior experience than my homemade recordings. 2. There IS grain in the print, but what do you expect? This show was shot on film, and with film you are going to have grain! That is the charm to many older show and films, much like many people prefer vinyl recordings to CD's today. 3. Other than the Season One discs, which appears to be a repackaging of the Universal release in 2008, these are "Plain Jane" releases on DVD with no subtitles nor extras, but I am not hard of hearing so I do not need subtitles, and although I do love extras, I cannot miss what I never had. 4. Some reviews mentioned continuity issues between the Season 2 cliffhanger and season 3. Season 3 did not begin airing until March of 2004 to accommodate Jill Hennessey’s real-life pregnancy, which probably suggests the reason that the cliff-hanger was not resolved until the season 3 finale. The DVD’s reflect the broadcast order. 5. This is a foreign market import, some have mentioned issues with region locked players, but I did NOT have an issue with my lg 4K Blu-ray player Other than that, I must concur with another reviewer... these are the real deal, and due to the music licensing agreements, this is probably the only way that you may ever have the opportunity to own this series on physical media. I am still ticked off at NBC for cancelling this series. It could have gone on for a couple of more seasons. It was cancelled at a time when NBC was struggling in the ratings and went through a plethora of series that launched and were quickly cancelled aft 13 (or less) episodes. They should have ponied up the moolah and kept this series going. Even though the finale was a bit forced at the end to bring closure to the characters, the last season had some of the best episodes. ... show more

Saw this on Roku and enjoyed and then it disappeared. It has since returned but now I can watch it whenever I want. Seems kind of like a precursor to CSI. Like the characters, too.

The media could not be loaded. This is a nice and complete set of this show which i liked a lot back in the day! I would think twice before purchasing this set though or doing a like deal in the future because $160.00 seems to be over priced to me! I am not entirely sure if it was that much, i think this cost is accurately what i paid. I would recommend trying to find another source for this set offer, it really is just too much if you are anything like me and binge watch once in a blue moon and then let the discs sit there and collect dust for long periods of time in between! Once you do decide to ever sell them yourself after becoming bored of them everyone knows you won't even get half your money back. Most people have seen second hand dvds sell at a yard sale for like a $1.00 a piece! The value simply is not here in this deal, i mean i know what i was thinking at the time but have a level of questioning my decision now! ... show more
