  • Bling cartridges
I bought these to use with my new Crossman 357 .177 cal. pellet gun! Great price I think anyway, compared to buying these things in smaller quantities! Not a whole lot to talk about here, they are nicely finished and appear to do what is expected of them...make that 357 put down a suppressing field of fire...time after time! You can find my review elsewhere of the Crossman 357 just check my other reviews for "Popop"! I am using the 357 not as a pellet gun per se, but rather, as a table salt shooting shot gun "Bugernator"! That's right...I bought a barrel extender which allows the gun to shoot regular, everyday "table salt" which is the perfect concoction to take out pesky bugs be they airborne or crawling....the table salt comes out in a shot gun pattern along with the CO2 concussion and you get to take out bugs indoors without destroying the sheetrock, draperies, windows, etc. No pellets...just the table salt which loses velocity quickly after a couple of feet out of the barrel but the kill zone is ample to take out anything you need to eliminate...including baby bird sized palmetto bugs....Check out that review where I go into a little more detail about the gear setup! Of course, the 357 comes with a 10 shot quick loader clip and should I need to employ it's services, these Crossman cartridges are just what the doctor ordered...powerful, plentiful and always handy! I have a few older cartridges, some Crossman, some from other manufacturers...probably 20 plus years old and they work as good as new as well so no shelf life issues here. Make sure you get the Crossman gunoil lube as well, as you should be putting a drop on the head of these cartridges to keep the mating rubber seals in good shape....believe me...you want to keep those gun seals lubed up and pliable cause if they dry up...your CO2 will leak out and when you wanna go "boom"....you won't! ... show more

  • Not all CO2 is the same
I also bought this box of 40 and it arrived loose in the shipping box as I see a lot of others experienced . I just put them back in the box and made sure there was really 40 of them there . Anyways , they work as expected . I have done some research on CO2 for air guns and found some info for others that may be interested . this link : [...] explains pretty good about differences . Note, the middle canister at bottom looks exactly like these Crosman ones . The far right one looks like Leland ( which I now use ) Hint: ebay 450 Leland ( 33 cents each ) This next link has someone weighing the different brands to see if you really get an actual 12 grams or not [...] Over all, Crosman 40 cartridges was a good deal when they were 21 dollars and they worked for me. Minus one star for the rating because of sloppy packing by the shipper . ... show more

  • A consistently reliable Crosman product. Buy it in winter when the price is lowest.
I use these for my .177 cal air pistols, and I go through 4 or more CO2 cartridges in a single target shooting session. The product is reliable, as always, but pricing on this item can vary by 30% or more through Amazon Prime. I find that as the weather gets cooler, the price drops considerably; this makes sense since any CO2 cartridge performs poorly in the cold, so use and demand drops, and with it, the price. At most times, a box of 40 is up near $30. In mid-winter when the weather gets cold, the price for these typically drops below $20 per box of 40, you buy and stock up. It's a great and reliable performing product always, but at 50-cents each or less, especially with free 2-day shipping (Amazon Prime), these are a veritable STEAL for another excellent Crosman product. As always, shoot true and shoot safe. ... show more
