I picked this up out of curiosity. I remember my grandmother doing crocheting and I have noticed seeing a lot of books like these lately. I spoke with a few people who are into this and too my surprise, both younger and older women are all into doing this. It's like crocheting has made a come back. This book had a lot of attractive and practical crochet items in it. The book was straight forward and seemed simple to follow the instructions on how to crochet this patterns.

Crochet Bathroom Accessories, Give Your Bathroom Some Color and Personality with Crochet by Dorothy Wilks gives clear directions on making bathroom accessories. Examples are: Ribbed Shell Toilet Paper Hanger, Ribs and Stripes Toilet Tissue Cover, Flowers and Vine Toilet Paper Cover and Hanging Laundry. These items could add personality to a bathroom. I gave it almost four stars because the directions are well written. The patterns are a bit old-fashioned. This is not for someone just beginning to crochet. I received a complimentary Kindle copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review. I have crocheted all my life and doing a great deal now that I am retired. I think it would be a great book for those who are newer to crochet than I. Loved reading the patterns and getting new ideas for my crocheting.

I wasn't all that impressed with the patterns in this book. Another reviewer noted that this book isn't for beginners, and that's correct. There are no instructions for "how-to" crochet. However, the book doesn't claim to be for beginners. My problem with the book is that there are only four patterns and they seemed to be a tad 'old-fashioned.' The patterns include, a toilet paper hanger, 2 toilet paper covers, and a laundry bag. There are plenty of color photos of the completed items and the written directions are easy to follow. (The directions for the hanging laundry bag are for a very small bag but she does explain how to make it larger.) Overall, I just didn't see anything here, I'd want to spend time making.

This book has one toilet paper holder pattern, two t.p. Cover ups and one hanging laundry bag. Not a lot but I've never got a book by this author that wasn't useful.
