I'm no electrician but I do some wiring now and then. I've had cheap crimping tools over the years. This one is nice. It cries perfectly every time. I have a tendency to over tighten things - over crimp in this case, but the ratcheting / release mechanism keeps the crimp the same every time - no matter how tight you try to go. I have several traditional stripper crimpers but as I've switched over to heat shrink adhesive sleeved terminals on everything I do I bought the same brand crimper. It does a good job without damaging the surface of the heat shrink. The older single point crimpers punch through the sleeve. This works quite well ... show more

Well built tool and easily swapped out dies for the different types and sizes. As indicated, easy to use, but one criticism I have is the lack of laminated chart showing what die is used for the type of connectors they were made for. I snatched an image of the chart from the product info, printed one out and laminated. Tossed this into the case, so the chart is readily available when I'm ready to use the tool. ... show more
