Holds larger pieces of vinyl, htv, and other materis to feed through a cricut air 2. I've had no issues whatsoever with it. I find this to be a bit better than the other grip mats for larger pieces just because they are easier to remove. Clean them every once in a while and they'll hold just fine.

First of all, I generally only leave a review if I have used the product for at least a year or extensively enough that I am well experienced with it. I generally cut a piece that's 1' x 2' long and this holds it very well. I like how I can wash it with soap and water whenever it starts to get a little dirty and less tacky. I'm not crazy about the price of anything branded Cricut, but honestly, this is probably a decent value for how long one of these will last if you are careful to run a proper blade depth and not over an uncovered area. ... show more

Just starting out with using my Cricut Explore Air 2 for cutting iron-on vinyl, but this mat has performed as needed. Tacky enough to allow the vinyl to stay in place securely while the Cricut does its thing, but not so tacky that it makes removal a pain.

I always wanted to cut longer than 12 inches or batch a bunch of projects on one mat. this cutting mat does the trick. The HTV sticks well. It's long so you just gotta make sure to have room behind the machine so it don't slap the wall. Haha. Works great. Easy to work for my projects

I needed a 12 x 24 mat for a project and this worked well... it seemed to have more "tack" than my 12x12 cricut mat... so just be certain of vinyl placement when you are putting it on... it doesn't like to give the vinyl back for repositioning lol. Still love it though!

    • When you need just enough tac, but not too much.
I have a roll feed cutter and had been using a medium grip cutting mat to make use of some small scrap (adhesive vinyl). However some of the scrap had a type of paper backing and when placed on the medium mat, would not come off clean. With the light grip mat, I can now make use of the scrap with a paper type backing. The paper backing does not shred. These mats have paid for themselves very quickly. ... show more
