I needed fiber carbon because I have to leave my stick in my car all day. Every day. In Florida. The daytime heat will eventually warp a maple shaft but the CF shaft is believed to be mostly impervious. Through a brutally hot summer in a vehicle totally exposed to direct heat and sunshine, the shaft remains straight as an arrow.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My purchase was for the CXD-3YF pattern. I really liked the pattern and have been wanting a carbon fiber stick. And I did want one with an extension option. Very strange that their own extension does not fit this cue stick.
