I wanted to see what styles of snowshoes were available to buy. When I saw the Crescent Moons I liked the slim and streamlined design. Since they are made of durable hard foam they are incredibly light and I hardly notice that I'm wearing them! The heavy duty velcro straps snug down on my boots and stay snug! They have great traction, even when walking up and down steep hills. I can run in them, walk backwards, walk and jog in tight circles. These are quality snowshoes and have an excellent design. Compared to other snowshoes, Crescent Moon snowshoes are really enjoyable and with less effort to snowshoe in! ... show more

I bought these for my wife for xmas - when she first seen them I got what the hell are these (she was talking about going snowshoeing with her friends as she has never been snowshoeing before.). But when she went with her friends she really liked them - she said really worked well.

I LOVE snowshoeing! I am a snowshoe guide at snowbird ski resort in Utah. I've been snowshoeing for 30+ years. I utilize ALL types of snowshoes depending upon the terrain, depth of snow and mountain conditions. When it comes to RUNNING, walking and simply going out for a FUN experience--I LOVE my Luna Foam Snowshoes! They're so soft, quiet and flexible. I love the simple and yet highly functional and secure velcro binding system. The flex and cushion of the Luna Foam make it feel like you're not even wearing snowshoes. The narrow width allows for easy natural strides--perfect for single tracks. No more bull-legged walking/running. I love the banana tapered shaped sole and how it absorbs the impact. Crescent Moon created something special here with these shoes for running and walking and playing in snow. Perfect for snow packed trails with a few inches (3"-5") light powder. Excellent for rolling snow covered hills, laps around the winter park, golf courses--Ohh and summertime SANDDunes. :) NOT designed or intended for use on steep and deep backcountry terrain.     • Highly Functional, comfortable and fun snow shoe

This snow shoe is very easy to use and is highly functional. While I hiked some pretty steep terrain with deep snow and it did great, I was most impressed when I went running with them. They are so light and fit to your feet so well, that it really does feel like you are just wearing a pair running shoes. I didn't have to change my running stride at all and the curve of the boot gave me an extra bounce. The velcro straps kept my feet secure and tight to the boot and the traction was way better than I expected. Also, these are way easier to transfer than the traditional snow shoe, as they are lighter and less clunky. I love these shoes and would highly recommend them to anyone. ... show more
