Purchased both Tree of Life urns (A & B) for a dual burial service (used A for female and B for male). I was pleasantly pleased when I opened the box. The urns are quite beautiful. Both arrived undamaged and when removing the urns from the shipping box, they were in a box of their own. The urns themselves were wrapped in bubblewrap and each corner of the urns were further protected with thick, plastic protectors. The urns are well made, sturdy and are of high quality. The Tree of Life design on each urn is beautifully / perfectly carved and has a very high-end look. The inside is lined with velvet and the removable bottom plate is hidden and is secured with a screw. Upon removing the bottom plate, the opening runs the length of the urn, therefore, is a large enough opening to place your loved ones ashes in. One of the urns had a velvet bag inside of it (the other did not), which was ok as we wouldn’t have been able to use them both as one of our loved one’s ashes took up the entire urn.. We were honored to place our loved ones in their final resting place with such beautiful urns. ... show more

So I will let the photos do the 'talking.' I ordered this item twice and it arrived damaged both times. There was no obvious damage to the box so I suspect the urn was damaged prior to packaging. IF the urn had arrived undamaged, it would have been acceptable at this price. True, it is only pressed fiberboard and the 'engraving' is kind of plain, but not so bad that I would not have used this - if it were undamaged. ... show more

Rating the Tree of Life option B that was retailing for $37ish at time of arrival. Picking out an urn, at least for my loved one, by turns makes me confused, overwhelmed, and angry. So very, very angry. But that's mostly grief though a small portion of that is anger at the predatory pricing of anything funeral related (similarly: anything wedding related.) Things that make me irrationally angry about most urns I look at: hummingbirds, butterflies, flowers, urns that are too small, urns that would be perfect if they didn't have corny sayings, or urns with corny sayings that *are* perfect but make my heart feel even more raw. I actually have the perfect urn picked out but it's going to be awhile before I can save up for it. In the meantime, my partner is distressed to not have an urn. This checks all the boxes for me. If life takes a twist and I am not able to get the 4x more expensive urn, then I don't think I'd be mad at this urn at all. For anyone reading this who thinks I'm demented, please pick out your urns/funerary options in advance. Even if you are the one doing the picking for someone else, barring picking for a child, I think it would really help picking items out when not dealing with grief which can last months and years. It took me 2.5 years to be able to face even picking out an urn. ... show more

This box was perfect! The carving was really gorgeous and the velvet inlet is very well done. I used it as a time capsule /letter box for my friends' wedding.
