The media could not be loaded. 👍PLUSES: ✅ Has arrived in good condition and on time! ✅ Just unbox and start to print! 👎MINUSES: ❌ The screen is loose. During touching, a stir is felt. I wrote above that it arrived in excellent condition and it's true. This refers to shipping and packaging. But... ❌ There is some dust on the printer and scratches on the chassis. I guess it was before packaging/shipping. The seller did not inspect the exterior of the printer for some flaws. ❌ Just one FEP film as a replacement. Also, It would be good to add a respirator and gloves to the box. Going on... 👉INTRO 👶🏻 I'm a newbie in 3d printing and it is my 1st usage of 3d printing. Easily connected to home WiFi and updated the firmware. There are a lot of tutorial videos on YouTube and there I noticed some menu items that I don't have. Maybe it's related to the update. Usually, the first experience is unsuccessful, but before buying a 3d printer and choosing the right resin, I studied them in detail, each separately. And as a result, make no mistake! See the attachments to know what you'll achieve from "the box" + basic skills. 👉Print setting & Resin I used Anycubic base resin (gray). The resin's polymerization time is 2.9 sec, and the layer thickness is 0.05mm. Total 1093 layers, printing time is ~3hr. I sliced and sent it to print via phone (Creality Cloud). The model height is ~5.6cm 👍 I'm very satisfied! 🥳 👉Conclusion In general, the impression of the purchase and print quality are positive, apart from minor scratches on the chassis. For this point -1 star from the "Overal rating" indicator. Next, I will test Elegoo resin, Halot Box & Lychee Apps and will update the review.     • Good Value Resin Printer suitable for beginner
I've been printing on FDM Printers for a while but have avoided SLA printers due to the issues dealing with resin. My daughter continually asks me to create miniatures for her so I decided to give it a shot for the higher quality available. I was choosing between this printer and the Voxelab Proxima 6. I was close to pulling the trigger on the Voxelab (I already have a Voxelab Aquila FDM printer and love it) but decided against it for the following issues: they are no longer using Chitu boards, I see few if any firmware updates, no wifi or app. This unit had all of these features. So now onto the Halot One: Everything was well packaged and the unit appears to be well manufactured. Setup was fairly easy, but recommend following youtube videos rather than following the written instructions. Pros: - Vivid and responsive large touchscreen - Wifi and App control/monitoring through Creality Cloud app - Ability to update firmware straight from printer and recent firmware updates - Free stl files available through Creality Cloud - Halot Box software is actually pretty good, also compatible with Lychee Slicer and Chitubox (kind of) - prints well first time with default settings - when you print it allows you use the printer settings or file settings. These can be very convenient as you would not need to reslice based on using different resins. Cons: - Build plate is a little awkward to manage. you have to unscrew the large screw and then pull out the build plate. I would have preferred being able to use the screw to hold the build plate itself - The cover has to be aligned perfectly in order to set properly and even so, resin odors still escape while printing. Would like there to be a stronger seal and a more easy way to align positioning so I don't risk bumping into the hardware on the way down - carbon air filter does not appear to do very much. - using chitubox requires you to convert the file using an extra tool called uvtools. - installed fep sheet had a small dimple in it. Not sure yet if it will affect printing. - included test print files were a bit limited Note: Some users reported receiving a plastic scraper and extra FEP sheets and resin strainers. I believe I received 1 extra FEP sheet, a metal scraper, and 3 resin filters. ... show more
