So far, so good! I've been primarily testing acrylics, and I've found that I can only successfully engrave clear and very bright colors. However, darker colors like black, red, and navy blue have cut extremely well. I'm new to the laser cutting process, as I usually work with vinyl and machines that use blades. I read through the reviews before making my purchase, and while they were mixed regarding the honeycomb panel and the A1 machine itself, I wanted to share my own experience for clarity. Although I don’t have much to add, I hope it helps. I’m really enjoying this machine so far! I do keep a cautious eye on it while it's working—this laser technology amazes me! I constantly check for sparks or flames, but I haven't noticed any yet, which is a relief!.

The media could not be loaded. I bought the Creality Falcon A1 for my husband. We've talked about getting a laser in the past, but the price as been to high and our space is small. I saw the Falcon A1 and got it. There's a lot of learning, especially if youhave never worked with a laser. We have been on YouTube to try and watch some videos. The ones that I have seen for the Falcon A1 are basically unboxings, which is fine. When you have never used a laser was hoping to find more video information. I have found lots of video information, they are for other named brand lasers. Not helpful when trying to use the Falcon A1. I would have liked a laser light to show placement of the laser. We have got a lot of learning to do. In the meantime we have enjoyed trying to figure out this machine.

So far so good! Setup was very quick and easy using the instructions on the computer. I was able to get started pretty quickly with the included basswood. I can update when I get to my bread and butter which is acrylic sheet.

I want to love this product but I have concerns on how it will cut in the near future. I’ve had it little over a week and it’s already taking double the time to cut. It first started at 10 speed and 50 power with 1 pass. Then I had to increase the power to 80 to get a clean cut. It had to be at 100 for the power to cut and now I have it at 10 speed, 100 power but have to do 2 passes. Nothing has changed. I’ve used the same 3 mm wood boards. I haven’t cut any other type of products. I tried to contact customer service but it seems to be a waste. They told me to email them videos, order number and serial number. I did all of that and it took days to even get a response asking if I used it on reflective items which I didn’t. I’ve yet to receive a response and they only want to help through email. My biggest concern is that within a week I’ve had a decrease in power in the machine so I don’t know how this is going to hold up.

My Creality Falcon A1 10W diode laser arrived a day late, but it was well packaged, complete, and in perfect working order. It comes ready to use once you install the software. I highly recommend as an entry level laser.

The media could not be loaded. Arrived in 2 days and was packed well with no exterior damage. The item is very well packaged, and only took about 5 minutes to get it up and running, with no assembly required. Unfortunately, the users guide is pretty much useless and is poorly written That also goes for the provided software. It works, but is quite limited. After only a day of use, I opted to scrap the provided software package and purchase LightBurn, and have not regretted that purchase. All said, it’s a solid performer and works very well. Do yourself a favor and also purchase a fume extractor or your room will fill up with smoke. The only fault I can find is that there is no air inlet vents on the unit, which prevents the exhaust fan and fume extractor from removing the smoke created from the engraving/cutting process. I solved that issue by slightly raising the cover with a 3/16” shil, thus allowing the exhaust system to keep the interior space smoke free. This is the only flaw I could find. However, shimming the cover exposes the user to laser light and poses a safety hazard, so protective laser glasses are required when using the unit. Would have given it 5 stars had the users guide been written better. Yes, I’d purchase it again. It does an awesome job of embracing and cutting for a very reasonable price point.
