  • Second creality, this one started out great.
Size: 220x220x250mm
This one started out great, but after 5th or 6th successful print job, EVERY PRINT AFTER THAT FAILED WITH LESS THAN 30% LEFT!!!! Just a waste of filament! And it didn't matter if it was a huge job, or something small, 70% (ish) FAIL! Error message, nozzle not hot enough;?!?!?! WTF??? Garbage!

  • Ok for beginner
My first 3D printer was the basic Entina Mini 3D Printers I was new to the 3d printer world and didn't want to spend too much money on a new machine. After I play with the basic 3d printer for a few months now I got a hang o the hardware and software I decide to upgrade to this Official Creality Ender 3 E 3D Printers, this one has a bigger print space Print Size 220x220x250mm I picked this machine because it has a sensor for auto leveling. and can print more precision projects. Now I m into designing my would project using this machine. ... show more

  • Great printer for the price with upgrades already installed
This review is for the Official Creality Ender 3 E 3D Printer. It comes stock with a glass coated bed, better tensions springs for the bed, and a CR Touch for auto leveling. There is also a filament runout sensor and this now has a full metal extruder on it whereas previously it was partially plastic. Auto bed levelling. This is an amazing feature and it is nice that it comes with the printer. You will need to level your bed once to get everything set up but after that you will only need to level when you notice issues. I have other printers that I have not leveled in over a year and they still perform very well. Silent mainboard. This comes with the 4.2.2 board which means your stepper motors will be almost totally quiet and not be as loud when moving or performing their tasks. This is a fairly standard feature these days. Filament runout sensor. This means that if you run out of filament during a print the printer can detect this and pause or stop itself. This prevents issues like overheating or worse. You can comer back and load new filament, turn it back on, and the printer will offer to restart from the point it detected the error. This same thing also works with power outages. Assembly. This includes instructions that are adequate for the job. All you really need to do here is to put the 2 long tower pieces up and the attach the piece that goes on top of them. One thing to keep in mind here is to make sure they are square when tightening them down or you will have issues later on. Also make sure you place the print head piece on there before the top bar. Overall I am happy with this 3d printer. It is still a cheap machine overall as it is based on an Ender 3 which you can find on sale for as little as $100 sometimes but all of the extras do cost to add on. The total cost of all the upgrades(CR Touch, metal extruder, filament runout sensor, springs and knob, glass bed) is a little over $100. So this is actually a shockingly good deal at the current price point for just over 200. You pay a little more to get everything installed and do not have to change the firmware or do anything, it comes ready to go. I like this package here especially if the Ender 3 is not on sale, this becomes an insane deal. ... show more

  • Upgraded Ender 3 that costs less than an Ender 3 V2, just needs a dual Z axis
This printer is a standard Ender 3 with some popular upgrades that makes it one of the best low-cost, out-of-the-box printers I've tried (and I own four 3D printers including an Ender 3 V2). I'd honestly recommend this over the Ender 3 V2 given all the upgrades that come straight out of the box; no figuring out upgrades or disassembling and reassembling parts later. THE PRINTER: As with other the Ender 3 series printers, this has shown to be reliable and fairly user friendly, particularly for beginners, especially given the add-ons that make this the enterprise version. Print quality is good and the printer is versatile for different filaments (PLA, ABS, TPU, and PETG being the ones I've used thus far). Bed adhesion is very good with the glass bed, though I did put this in an enclosure when I started printing with ABS to resolve warping, but in my experience that's a product of ABS, not a poor bed. The interface isn't the prettiest but it gets the job done which is all I'm really looking for. THE UPGRADES OVER A STOCK ENDER 3: 1. The auto-leveling sensor: it works well and is a huge improvement over the stock Ender 3s manual leveling which saves a ton of frustration, I recommend autoleveling capabilities to anyone looking for a 3D printer. 2. The upgraded springs and leveling nuts: these look great and feel sturdier than the stock plastic components on the Ender 3 (and Ender 3 V2), but maybe aren't needed for functionality, either way I'm not against their inclusion in this set. 3. The filament sensor: it's fine but unnecessary, filament breakage doesn't seem to be a big problem so I don't see needing this often, but a nice inclusion none-the-less. 4. The metal extruder: one of the best add-ons - definitely feels more sturdy and durable than the stock extruder. WHAT WOULD MAKE THIS PERFECT: My only complaint with this is that it doesn't have a dual Z-axis. There's some droop in the gantry that results from it only being moved up/down by a lead screw on one side of the gantry. This results in first layers not laying down completely smooth, or the hot end tip rubbing on the bed (even despite auto-leveling) which can damage the tip, the bed, and can ruin a print. This hasn't been a big issue yet but I have noticed it on a couple occasions thus far. A dual Z axis would resolve this. Additionally, a dual Z axis on top of the auto-leveling system and metal extruder would really hit all the big upgrades in one box. THE PRICE: This is very reasonably priced for everything it includes and is capable of. It runs slightly more expensive than the standard Ender 3 (you're paying for the upgrades but it comes with the added convenience of them being in the box) and is cheaper than the Ender 3 V2 which lacks out-of-the-box auto-leveling and metal extruder. It is definitely worth the price and is one of the best printers for the price-point. CONCLUSION: The Ender 3E is a great 3D printer that takes the Ender 3 and adds many of the most popular upgrades in the convenience of a single package for less than the cost of an Ender 3 V2. It lacks a dual Z axis which would really make this perfect, but even still, it's a great option for anyone looking to get into 3D printing or expand their printing capacity. ... show more
