This silly crawling rechargeable crab has been an absolute hit in our house! My twins could not stop laughing as it scooted around the floor, changing direction and making goofy moves. It’s fast, unpredictable, and just the right kind of chaos to keep little ones totally entertained. They love chasing it, trying to catch it, and watching it “run away” when they get too close. I love that it’s rechargeable (no hunting for batteries every other day!) and durable enough to survive twin-level excitement. It’s such a simple toy, but it brings big smiles every time. I bought this little crab as a way to keep my baby entertained and to help with his development during his first few months of life. These have been my impressions so far: Price: pretty reasonable price. The toy did not break the bank, and while I saw other options with lower prices, the higher rating from people made me decide to go for this particular choice. Material: all-plastic construction. The plastic does feel flimsy in some parts of the toy, but then again, considering the price, costs has to be cut somewhere. Visual appeal: this is definitely a toy that will catch the attention of your little one. They are made for babies, after all, and they "look at me" factor is definitely built into this toy. Downsides: This toy is endlessly annoying for adults, at least it is for me, and the only reason I keep it is because my baby is fascinated with it. For whatever reason, this toy comes with its own charging input instead of micro USB or USB C. If you lose the cable, you will have no way of charging the toy. The toy itself loses charge pretty quickly, and takes a long time to recharge. The legs tangle easily. One more thing, there is no control for the volume. It will ALWAYS play at high volume as soon as you turn it on, and that is it. The only way to control the music is to turn the toy itself off.

My goodness, this thing is loud. 15 seconds and you'll be yeeting it against a wall, or saying "the crab needs a nap" and finding any way possible to deplete the battery. At about 4-5 months old, my kiddo was terrified of this thing. It switches movement on a dime, CLICKITY CLACKS with its scrambling feet at ~120 decibels (if you have wood/vinyl floors), and plays about a 4-second loop of repeating music over and over and over. With all of that said (from an adult perspective), at about 9 months old my kid really enjoyed playing with it and it is bright and vibrant and well constructed. It stays upright really well and my kid had a fun time. It does have its own charger which is not USB, so, that's kind of annoying (ONE more wire/plug to keep track of, you know?). 4 stars because like a drum set, it's the kind of toy you give to parents you secretly hate. I put gaffer's tape on all the feet and about 8 layers on the speaker, and now it's sort of tolerable.

I recently got the Crawling Crab Baby Toy for my little one, and it's been an interesting addition to our playtime. There are several aspects that make this toy both enjoyable and a bit frustrating. While the cheerful tunes can add to the fun, the inability to turn off the music without turning off the toy entirely is a significant downside. My child would give this a five star, his parents give it a three star lol. Our family has nicknamed this thing "Rave Crab" and it stays at grandma's house. It is an obnoxiously loud toy but dang do they love it. My two year old chases it and picks it up. Our 9 month old will crawl after it. Even the dogs seem entertained by this toy. Lol.
