Description

Crank Brothers is primed to enter the footwear arena with three new MTB shoe models for flat and clipless pedals. While the Mallet and Mallet E shoe are designed to pair with the brand's clipless pedal collection, the Stamp is a flat-pedal MTB shoe for riders that prefer a solid platform. At the top of the Stamp roster you'll find the Stamp Boa Cycling Shoe, a rugged boot featuring a Boa fit system that delivers immediate micro-adjustments on the trail. Its MC1 rubber sole mimics the size and shape of Crank Borthers' Stamp flat pedal to deliver maximum surface area, and we love how easily the deep lugs align with the pedal pins for a stronger hold. Heel and toe lugs increase traction off the bike as you ascend muddy hills, or hit the town for a post-ride drink with friends.

I really love the comfort, the breathability. The upper of the show is 5 stars... But the sole didn't last through the season. So maybe 1 star. I am not a cyclist, I bought these purely due to them having a BOA coiler closure. I was hoping they would make great tennis shoes as well, and they do! The full rubber sole has great traction in all kinds of conditions. Including dirt, pavement, snow, and grass. Nice shoe. Neutral fit. Fit is a little on the short side. I returned my 11.5 for a 12, which fit like an 11.5 should. I was going to keep these as they are comfortable and it is nice to have a boa on a flat shoe. But the sole is really flexy. This is purely based on my comparison of bending the shoe in my hands and comparing it to a pair of five ten freerider contacts, and pearl izumi xalp launchs. And also did a little walking on the carpet. The Stamp shoe is very bendy which I'm sure makes it great for walking. But honestly if you put in fairly big/long rides having a shoe that is not rigid is noticeable both from a power perspective and fatigue perspective. I may return them and get the lace version as I'm more willing to experiment with a $120 shoe than a $170 shoe. Make sure you carpet test them before you keep 'em. ... show more

Had been waiting for this type of shoes for years! The "Speed Lace Closure System" allows for precision adjustment for comfort with a hi-tech look. I usually go one size larger for all my sports shoes; and this worked perfectly with these shoes as well. These shoes would be perfect for the cooler environment due to lack of enough ventilation and the (Black) color. On a hot sunny day you would certainly feel the heat of the Sun on your shoes. The older I get the less I like bending over to tie my shoes, especially with MtB flats when you have to double tie and keep them on the outer side of the shoe. These CrankBrothers not only work great but they also fit with my Crankbrothers Flat Stamp 7 pedals. Been wearing them about 10-12 rides now and really enjoy them.
