So you can't just pour the liquid in your humidifier and leave it there. +Tips: - This cleaner is like mild soap, you have to use a sponge or towels to scrub away the slime in and out of your tank. Works well on hard water stains when used monthly. It’s hard to clean up old stains that have been there a long time as the calcium etc build up and become like cement. I like the ease of use and job it does on my shower head, kitchen faucets and humidifiers.

I need a cleaner that will mix in with every multi-gallon water fullup, and help keep the humidifies unit clean between fills. This cleaner is intended to clean the whole humidifier unit after takedown and belt disassembly. Not applicable for a water refill. The online info does not make this clear.

I don’t think I even have a Crane humidifier at the moment— but no matter. This stuff lets me keep all of them clean and has allowed me to save one or two that we neglected to clean. It also helps prevent bacterial build up (it takes longer for the pink stuff to appear in the unit when I have cleaned the unit using this product.)
