I was thinking between this one and the Black and Decker BDST60500APB which is $25 dollars cheaper. I am glad to purchase CRAFTSMAN TRADESTACK Rolling Tower (CMST60420) since it comes with additional 6 small containers, 2 small tool trays and an adapter to add additional box. The automatic stacking with drop and lock mechanism is truly working well. The overall size are bigger than Black and Decker BDST60500APB. It is a toolbox on a go and is very sturdy and well build. The only down side is the cover for those small containers are very hard to open. I already break one of the cover. But overall, I am still giving it a 5 stars because of its additional accessories and build. ... show more

This rolling tool organizer is made really well and heavy duty. Plenty of room for storge. Rolls really easy and portable. I don't know about how waterproof it is since it's not been in no rain yet but feels like it should be. I would recommend this to anyone. Price between Dewalt or craftsman, I think this is a better deal with about the same quality. ... show more

I have one of the other company’s 3-piece systems known for its durability. This set is much lighter and easier to carry/maneuver than the competitor I own. I like that these are so much lighter from a mobility standpoint, but this also makes them a bit more fragile than the competitor’s model (which you can apparently drop a cinder block on from the second story without damaging it). Still, I prefer this kit for how light it is. Craftsman also manufactures the Versastack modular system that is more of a DIY/intro modular system. For those with Versastack components, the Tradestack system comes with an adaptor that allows you to attach them to the top of the Tradestack kit. The bottom case has the largest volume and I use it to hold the power-tools needed remotely. The middle case is a bit smaller but I still use it for smaller power-tool and tools in their own container or bags. All three case are just open boxes, but the set does come with two generously sized lift out trays that will fit in either bottom two boxes in a horizontal orientation. They can be placed left, right or center. The top box comes with six removable fastener bins with hinged lids that are very difficult to open initially. One hopes they stay closed but become easy to open with use. These 6 bins fit on either side, leaving room in between for some more tools. The nicest feature is the locking mechanism. It is the easiest to use of the three manufacturer’s stack sets I’ve tried so far; easy on-easy off. The kit also comes with a multi-position handle (stable, well-balanced and easy to grip) and cord wrap hooks. One other small quibble that has already come into play twice - its black color can present difficulties in the dark. I’ve twice had difficulties fitting it into narrow (but adequate) spaces in the truck in the dark with some portion (electrical cord hook or wheels) hanging on something. I would have preferred red boxes with black accents if they could do it. PRECISE RATING: 4 (good at doing what I need, at least one exceptional characteristic, probably would buy again) MOST INFLUENTIAL RATING CONSIDERATION: locking system, weight RECOMMENDATION: If your ‘job-site’ is mostly DIY projects away from home or you just want a stack system for around the house, I highly recommend this system, but I doubt it would be as durable as others if subjected to the daily rigors of a construction site. I intend to use this one for my mobile system because it is so light and easy to get into/out of the truck. (As always, I will report back if there are any durability or performance issues with additional use.)     • Great Product and very well made.
I brought these for my job to use to transport products to use to teach different programs in the community. They are very nicely build and compact. Very durable and function. They are quite easy to use as well. The inside has alot of space.

Craftsman should be embarrassed to put their name on this product. The build quality of the TradeStack system is terrible. The latching system that holds the boxes together is very poorly designed. The latches themselves come off with little to no effort. Bump them wrong and they come flying off. They are not attached to the box well and the spring under them is almost to much. The extension handle on the roll box is sloppy amd loose. I own most of the Versastak line and it is 100x better. Avoid wasting your money. This is not professional grade at all. Its not even DIY grade. Save your money. If professional grade is what you are looking for, go with Milwaukee Packout. ... show more
