I got an open box model , it looked brand new aside from the severely damaged craftsman box. Started up easily enough following the directions. I have had several gas handheld blowers , the last being the stupid Ryobi jet fan. That one just randomly died after 2 or 3 years. I've been researching for 2 years while struggling with electric and battery powered back up blowers. I pulled the trigger on this due to the price being so cheap for a powerful blower. It was awesome, I cleared my front yard in about 5 minutes🤯 set cruise control to full throttle and woah! It usually took me 45 to 60 minutes with my black n decker electric or way longer raking. Now my hope is that this bad boy lasts at least 5 years of not a lifetime . The machine appears well built and durable , nothing flimsy anyways. I did use some zip ties to secure the throttle cable. The way it was designed to be hanging free would have caused premature failure due to the weight hanging onto the carburetor linkage. I made a loop with 1 zip tie and secured it to that . Still allows for appropriate movement but it's no longer hanging with the weight tugging at the connection. Other than that I see no issues 🤞🤞 ... show more

I bought this blower for our property in MI. It worked well this year clearing the oak and maple leaves around the house. I didn’t have any issues that some of the reviews stated having a hard time starting or would not start. I followed the directions to start it and it worked every time. I made sure to mix the fuel properly and refilled the tank before it was empty. The one thing that other reviewers were right about, is that it’s very loud. Ear protection required. ... show more

My husband likes the Craftsman blower very much. He looked around at local shops before I found this one online, and he was pleasantly surprised to find the quality/price this product offers. I am blown away by how powerful this is, how comfortable it is on the back, how easy it starts (follow the instructions!) and how ergonomic it is in general. Craftsman does it again!! No heat on your back and the spring mechanism eliminates vibration. Blows heavy wet leaves very well. I love it!!
