Great basic starter set

Great beginner set. So close to perfect, I'd rate this 4.5 stars if I could but I'm rounding it to 5. The bad first. Limited extensions. Not a big deal, more are like $10. No angle universal joint adapters. Also cheap to add on. Lack of wrenches, Only 3 imperial and 3 metric wrenches. However the big minus here is the absolute lack of organization for the allen keys. It comes with I believe 40 allen keys, which is useful but they come in plastic bags. Come on Craftsman. I don't want to dig through a bag looking for a 4mm allen key for five minutes. Lastly, I wish there was a smaller screwdriver or angle adapter as the screwdriver is a little big for hard to reach areas. However, don't let the bad fool you - the only reason there are so many bad things is because there are so many things in this kit to critique. The sockets and wrenches are great. There are dozens of bits for the screwdriver, and some of them seem to fit JIS screws without destroying them which is a huge plus. The carry case is super convenient. And lastly, the price is cheap for all you get. Would definitely recommend for beginning mechanics or someone who wants to start building a tool set. This is not complete, but a very very good start.

As a lifelong customer of Craftsman Tools, I am once again extremely pleased with the tool set. Overall, Craftsman is an excellent company providing high quality products. I am extremely happy with the quality of the tools. The case they came in is so nice that I am using that for storage, rather than a separate tool box. The lifetime warranty can't be beat. Luckily, I have never had to use that warranty, but it gives me peace of mind. The only downside about this kit, and the reason for four stars instead of five is storage for the allen wrenches. There are two sets of allen wrenches included in plastic bags, but nowhere convenient to store them in the case, so I have to store them separately. That is my ONLY complaint with this set. I would highly recommend this set to anybody who does any regular maintenance on vehicles or around the house. It includes just about every tool the average person would need to complete the average repair job. You can't beat the quality or the warranty, either. Lastly, I recommend Craftsman tools, because I have had nothing but good experiences with them.

This was a great set to have. I had one similar that seem to have all the pieces I ever needed. Well to the best of my capable ability to perform mechanic work on my vehicle. This one is missing those pieces, but gives you more. What makes more of this set is the small allen keys that are joined into the set. I don't remember needing so many. I have used them though. Would I give someone this box as a gift? I would for sure say it is perfect but it misses my needs by a few pieces. Would I buy it again? Yes, for the price you cant beat it. I waited to write a this review. I have now had this set since 2018 it is now 2021. I write this review in the stand point of durability. I have used this set enough to pay for itself. I like to do my own work on my vehicles.

Great set for the money. I’ve got tons of tools in my garage, but I wanted an extra set to take with me to car shows, or to have inside the house so I didn’t have to run to my garage to go into my giant tool boxes.
