It is so cool and I can’t wait to wear it. The dress itself is like a silky fabric (not really a colonial fabric) but it’s a costume I don’t care. The apron is cotton so it’s perfect. Seems true to size. I am currently 5’4, 198 pounds, size 16. I ordered an XL and it fits nicely. The elastic is slightly tight on the waist but if I had gone bigger the top would be sloppy so it’s good how it is. Surprisingly good quality for a costume. It is see through thinner material but with the apron it’s fine. My daughter had a Tom Sawyer picnic at school and she won an award with this costume. She wore shorts underneath but for the price we were very happy with the purchase. i have been dressing up in the same Halloween costume for a couple yrs now and wanted something different this year, so I saw this on a special for $19 and although I think I normally would've gotten a size small, the medium was on special - like half off, so I decided to give it a try. We had an Old Fashion Day at our church. Just about everyone dressed up for the day. It was like being back in the early 1800s that day and our dresses made all this happen. I normally wear a size XL but, it turned out to be too big on me so, I sent it back and went down a size. I’m a bit overweight (178-lbs), 5’ 2” and the Large did fit me perfectly and it didn’t even touch or drag the ground. My dress was very comfortable to wear even outside on a bright sunny afternoon.
