Got them for the BF. He said they are comfortable and true to size. The inside part of the zipper is covered with a flap of fabric so it doesn’t rub and irritate the skin.

The water shoes offer great value but could benefit from a side zipper instead of a back zipper. They tend to run large in size. I personally replaced the original insert with a gel Dr. Schol's insert that has holes to prevent water retention. The original insert felt cheap. I hope these shoes are durable and long-lasting.

I purchased this product on August 26 for a trip scheduled to depart on Sept. 17th for a four week vacation at a beach resort. I was initially very excited as walking around my house the water shoe seemed to be good. On September 18th my first day of vacation I wore the shoes at the pool at the resort and things went fine. Next day I wore the shoes again at the swimming area of the resort and low and behold the zipper for the right shoe began to unzip. This continued to happen throughout the day and became a problem as the shoe did not fit around my ankle anymore. By the end of the second day of wearing them the right shoe became unwearable because the sole was slipping towards the heal creating a lot of problems with rubbing on my foot. I tried to pull up the zipper continuously and within a few steps it would unzip again. The sole began to cause a blister on foot as my feet were wet. At one point I pulled the zipper up again and the loop broke off. The entire time the left shoe was perfect so I feel I was sent a defective pair. I return to the US after my 4 weeks vacation and I find that I am beyond the return period so I am out $25.00 for a pair of water shoes that I wore in a pool area not even a beach for two days. I do not recommend this product at all. I purchased a pair for my spouse who decided not to even wear them based on the trouble I was having with mine. Normally I would not do a review but as a diabetic I have to be careful of my feet when walking without shoes. I would not buy this if you need to have water shoes due to a medical condition.
