I got this for my wife to use after hip replacement and initially she loved the cane. After a weeks use, she said the cane would no longer stand up on its own and felt less secure. I then found that the pivot that attaches the foot has very fine plastic threads holding it to the aluminum pole of the cane. These threads stripped causing the foot to be loose. I cut a vertical slit in the pole through the thread section and added a couple clamps to squeeze the pole tightly to the foot pivot. Now the cane is stable and works well. I can't recommend this cane, but in fairness, I did not contact the seller as my wife needed the cane and did not want to wait for a replacement. Update - The seller's customer service contacted me and offered a full refund and told me to keep the cane. As my repair is still holding up I accepted their offer. Changing from 2 to 4 starts for great customer service

I bought this for my mom who is 85 and had a recent knee surgery. She is about 180 lb and really likes her new COVACURE Walking Cane as it is very stable, sturdy, and yet light weight. She also likes the fact that she can fold it when she gets in a car as a passenger. The quad tipped allows her to leave the cane standing still on its own without a need to hang it or laying it down. This way she doesn't have to bend down to pick it up or reach up to grab it.

I have been overweight with knee joint pain making it difficult to walk. The Convacare Canes are rated for users who carry extra weight, though appearing lightweight. I bought 2. They stand by themselves. The grips on the bottom hold my weight, though once slipped on polyurethane concrete and once on polished wood floor. I recommend these canes as stable mobility aids.

Great walking cane, sturdy enough for a big guy like me 260lbs, and actually stands easily on its own, I use 2 canes to aid in my mobility, only negative are the decorative caps at the ends of the handles the should be glued in place when you drop cane the pop off, lost 1 already going to request a replacement cap
